ChicDragon It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
Marva-nova Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
WatchingInPerth ....is the last line that Dr Earl Hill/Frank Langella utters in this saga. And therein lies the best way to sum up this telemovie that is catastrophic, but for all the wrong reasons.Pity he didn't pay more attention to it when he read this thing & agreed to do it!Apparently, more lines are required to make this review valid! Really? What else is there to say? Not bad enough to be "so bad, it's good". Every clichéd piece of dialogue that has ever graced a bad telemovie, gathered together & trotted out one after the other. Is that enough now??!!!
Brendan Lawrence (brendan2508) I must say that I should not be wasting time giving a review on this piece of drivel but I am compelled to! First of all, the acting was second-rate, the direction was like watching someone with a case of jitters who never used a tripod or similar device to hold the thing still! I never felt so annoyed since watching Blair Witch (not to mention that fight scene in Bourne Ultimatum - Paul Greengrass' annoyingly hand-held direction!).And at the end the ludicrous scene where everyone broke down and cried at once, even Mr President (Beau Bridges) ... I mean how undignified was that?!
knighthawk88233 This movie by far had the worst camera work I have ever seen. Every time someone would talk the camera rapidly would have to zoom in closely on the person's face almost to their nostrils to emphasize rising action or suspense. The camera work finally got so annoying I had to turn the movie off and watch something else. As for the special effects in this movie, I can understand the fact that they didn't have millions to spend on blowing stuff up, so the little HO scale model of the Golden Gate Bridge made it's point, but was almost laughable to see a movie made in the past few years still use the 1940's style special effects. In my opinion this movie could have been much better had it not been for the annoying camera work, and over acting played by the actors/actresses. In the scene of where the Ford Explorer gets swallowed up by the loose ground, the effects were so phony and "superman-ish" they should have just super imposed Lois Lane's head for the little girl's and just cropped out that scene of Superman and placed it in this 10.5 piece of crap.
disdressed12 as the sequel to 10.5,this movie is a worthy follow up.the action scenes are just as intense and spectacular, maybe even more so.there are less of the action scenes, more scenes on the human interest aspect and how people helped each other through all the crises.however,i did not find the movie boring at all.i thought the more dramatic scenes were well done.for me the movie fast paced, and also thrilling and exciting,as well as suspenseful.those people that bashed the first film for it lack of scientific accuracy and also bashed the CGI,should not even have watched this 1,but i have no doubt, there are some who did.for me,10.5:Apocolypse rates as high as the 1st 1,all things considered. My vote is 10.5/10
