SincereFinest disgusting, overrated, pointless
SteinMo What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.
Quiet Muffin This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.
jfgibson73 This documentary feels like you are hanging out with some of the wrestlers after a show. The people who get the most screen time are Diamond Dallas Page, New Jack, Vampiro, Rikishi, Chyna, and Sean O'Haire. They answer questions about the wrestling business, giving their opinions on drugs, the internet, back yard wrestling, their career arcs, and interacting with fans. They all claim to be happy with their choices, and some of them have inspirational stories. They have also dealt with hardships, but for the most part, they appear to be answering as honestly as they can. I think I liked Rikishi's responses the best, because he seemed to have no attitude or illusions--just told it straight.I think I would consider it one of the better wrestling docs because it doesn't waste much time--it gets straight to the questions and answers. The average fan with a video camera could probably put together a set of interviews just as well as these, if they had access to the wrestlers. But you don't, so check this out if you are interested in some behind the scenes stories about the business.
KlashedKi The basic outline of the film is that you get people who have worked under the various federations seen from Beyond the Mat and get information of the business from the likes of Diamond Dallas Page, Chyna, New Jack, Rikishi, etc. The reality is that most were B-card wrestlers with more being listed to JOIN the wrestling business as opposed to avoiding it. While there were moments the footage in most cases seemed unwanted (Backyard Wrestling 2: The Video Game commercial shoot anyone?)The interviews were also badly given but at least it was a compilation. Just not a good one.Pass on it and buy an RF or ROH shoot with an individual instead of this.
azraelforlife 101 REASONS NOT TO BE A PRO WRESTLER is a clever and well done documentary which takes you through the lives and careers of the wrestlers in this documentary. Director Michael Moody does a fantastic job at directing and editing this film. This film features superstars such as Rikishi Fatu, Psicosis, Joanie Lauer, Diamond Dallas Page, New Jack, Vampiro, Sean OHaire, Nosawa, Tylene Buck, Tabitha Stevens, Babi Slymm, Sylvester The Predator Terkay, and many more! This documentary is full of great stories, great jokes but most of all great questions. Many different questions are asked throughout this film and the wrestlers really do a great job at getting in-depth into the discussion. What I really love about this DVD is how the wrestlers go all out to answer the question and are not afraid to give a good, long and detailed answer. The reply to these great questions as if nothing is holding them back. The wrestlers speak about subjects such like politics, backstage, relationships, wrestling with a family, and much more. I promise you, if you watch this DVD you WILL learn a lot. You will learn things you probably didn't know existed! The film also features great comedy from wrestlers New Jack and Babi Slymm. I really enjoyed watching these two on screen. I really think they were fit for this. The documentary also features an exclusive look at the New Jack, Vampiro and Insane Clown Posse commercial shoot, which is really amazing footage. But thats not all The DVD also includes many bonus features. One great bonus feature is a never released New Jack match, in which he damn near almost kills a 75 year-old man. What can possibly be better? The Bonus Footage on this disc includes Bonus talk with many different wrestlers, backstage footage of what its like backstage at a real wrestling event, in-depth talk with New Jack, Diamond Dallas Page, Vampiro, The Predator and Joanie Lauer. This disc really is a great documentary and I can honestly say it easily beats Beyond The Mat and any other wrestling documentary out there! I give DVD 5 out of 5 stars! Director Michael Moody did a fantastic job at putting this together.
