n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

No meta-monsters tearing through buildings, ripping apart bridges, burning everything here and there. This is an accurate depiction of the pain and horror 1000s suffer weekly in accidents just in the USA, much less the globe. What is tough, putting one's self in the role of the damaged man who has seen, paraphrasing Dr Martin Luther King, "The glory of the Lord." That he didn't want to immediately suffer the horrendous pain after experiencing the Afterlife is not a unique story. Others have told it, just not this well.
Suffering with him, his wife, the kids, the parents, members of his community, shows the damage such a wreck hoists on the unsuspecting shoulders of each. It can be tedious to heal. This is real life, not a 30-minute sitcom. Nobody asked for this 34 operations and four months lying in a hospital bed.
The support of others helping his recovery, his realization that others might just have it tougher in hospital rooms on his floor, all of these things come together for a warm, heartfelt realization of what may be the biggest lesson in this true story: Love is the key, key to living, key to healing, key to leading others to the opportunity ultimately that will be available to all. Not just 90 minutes in a paradise of understanding, but time measured in terms I find difficult to grasp. He was brought back here to share that taste he had through this crippling experience. We are all better for it regardless of one's taste in film.

I have watched 1.5 hours of this movie..nothing about heaven..poor acting at best...It is a drama about an accident but he was in the hospital the whole time so far..nothing about heaven...don't bother unless you really want to watch a slow drama drawing upon heaven for ratings...and it does need some help from heaven for it's ratings.

Review: I wasn't really impressed with this movie, because the subject matter was a bit weird and it seemed like it was made for TV. The acting was mediocre from the whole cast but the fact that it was based on true events, made it slightly interesting. Don Piper (Hayden Christensen) is a happily married family man with 2 small boys, a young girl and a loving wife, Eva (Kate Bosworth), who is a kindergarten teacher. The whole family is heavily into the church and Don is looking to invest in building a new church in the community. While Don is looking for investors to help him in his new adventure, he ends up in a car crash which, temporarily kills him. After being pronounced dead on the spot, a pastor prays over his body and starts to sing to him, and to his surprise, Don starts to sing along with him. Weird but true! Anyway, he finally gets pulled out of the car and is rushed to the hospital were the doctors battle to save his life. With his family by his side Don goes through some gruesome rehabilitation, which questions his faith and makes him wonder, why he was chosen to stay alive after being dead for 90 Minutes. I must admit, I did get quite bored of the whole storyline after a while and I found it slightly creepy. All of the real footage of the family, made the movie feel like a documentary, which I didn't find entertaining. At the end of the day, it's just another bad movie from Hayden Christensen, who has struggled to make a decent movie since playing Darth Vader in Star Wars. Disappointing!Round-Up: This movie was lucky to break even at the box office, because there are so many people who believe in different religions, who will find this film quite offensive. With that aside, Hayden Christensen and Kate Bosworth could have shown more emotion under those weird circumstances and the ending was pretty poor. Anyway, this film was directed by Michael Polish, 45, who also brought you Twin Falls Idaho, Jackpot, Northfork, the Astronaut Farmer, the Smell of Success, Stay Cool, For Lovers Only, Big Sur, and Unconscious. I personally haven't seen any of his movies before, and if there are anything like this movie, I don't think that I'm missing anything.Budget: $5million Worldwide Gross: $5millionI recommend this movie to people who are into their dramatic movies starring Hayden Christensen, Kate Bosworth, Michael Harding and Cynthia Barrett. 3/10

I think Mr. Don Piper should WATCH the DOCUMENTARY of JAL 123 (the Japanese aircraft that crashed thru a mountain thousands feet high) which 5 people SURVIVED it.What do we make of those PEOPLE Mr. Piper? profits.. like you? maybe Gods?I'm a fan of HAYDEN and i deeply follow his career but this movie DISAPPOINTED me a lot. I don't see where will it get him !!By the huge EFFORTS he put and his TALENT in acting, HAYDEN could've been NOMINATED twice or more for an Oscar by now if he PICKED the RIGHT PROJECTS.
