CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Aubrey Hackett While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
christiank7 Very sad to see so many reasonable actors being drowned in liberal swish. Who payed for this crap? Must have been SOROS or some other idiotic liberal supporter. Lets face it people, how often are we going to see obvious propaganda for the great unwashed and say nothing? Not me! I see this as a another paid for by the liberal morons that just want the power and not the responsibility of actually doing something good for the world or the country. OK That is idealistic but whats left for us an an option? If we want to make out as we are some sort of morally upstanding society I can see why films like this are important to keep the fantasy alive. For me however I am a realist and I do not give a flying cigar for the rest of the world.
Tim Little I've watched so many bad movies so far, and this didn't break the pattern. Here it is. Polarised for you in a movie that will put it in simple terms in case you're not able to grasp the concept. Big corporations are bad, capable of anything and exploitative of poor natives, the baddie is very bad - his sister very good (having experienced a sudden moment of enlightenment).Lots of poor natives get gunned down on a regular basis, individually and en masse, usually armed with nothing more but big (though undoubtedly sharp) sticks, but often with nothing at all - and in the back.Ex CIA man (obviously good) is the only one they can trust to get them out of their jam. He has experience of rolling down jungle slopes - and shooting people. And so it goes on. None of it is in the slightest bit convincing, Garcia least of all. As a Radio Quiet FM radio host he is excruciatingly dull and philosophising in a dreary monotone that, apparently, some people somehow stay awake to respond to.As a roughty-toughty CIA operative he's even less convincing, able to operate both automatic rifle and revolver in his thick, leather gloves. To show how honed his skills are, he can drive whilst on his phone and fire a pistol turned sidewise (gangster-stylee). He can even wear the same clothes for days on end. As the baddies get more desperate (and badder) this movie becomes more trite and ridiculous. Lots of complex stuff is explained in phone calls so we can follow the complicated goings-on. This is formulaic stuff and follows all the well established As-Bs to such an extent that this viewer stopped caring. The twist at the end ? Past caring.Forrest Whittaker ? Big fan ordinarily and he does what he can - but it's not nearly enough.
rose I really enjoyed this movie. It moved along at a good pace. There was meaningful dialogue and the action scenes didn't leave me feeling exhausted. The acting was good, but the story itself made it difficult to make a connection to the characters. Garcia had issues with his past, but I found it hard to relate to his inner struggle. Whittaker was a hero but he wasn't believable as one. I like movies that open our eyes to little-known but vital issues. I especially like it when they show every-day people who are nameless and faceless heroes making brave choices and standing up to to make a difference. I really liked the movie for that reason the most and it was why I was willing to overlook its flaws to give it such a good rating.
Sayasam This is an absolute great movie. It's a big Hollywood cliché about the bad companies leaders who can indirectly kill people if that can give their more money and power.BUT the poor citizens can fight back and get them in court. But it's very enjoyable.Lot of action, lot of thrill, and a bit of love. Conclusion : money rules everything, but fight makes freedom. It's a very good film with plenty of emotions.I loved it.If you like to fight for the truth, the jungle, the adventure and the special forces, watch this film.
