Intcatinfo A Masterpiece!
SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
Helloturia I have absolutely never seen anything like this movie before. You have to see this movie.
capricornius This is definitely not an A-list movie. The story is bad, the special effects are horrible and the dinosaur looks like something from an animated movie. But if you can look past that and have about 100 minutes, it's an okay movie to watch. But just DON'T expect a great movie. But it could serve as an inspiration if Hollywood one day decides to remake this as an all-star A-list Hollywood version. It's not that bad, but not that good either. I'd give it 60%, or a 6/10.
Richie-67-485852 The story is excellent and told quite well so you can follow along and let it absorb you as you get into it. Time travel is always a good subject because there is so many unknowns and different ways to travel through time each with different results, explanations and in this movie consequences. The premise is exciting. One little change in the past changes the course of the future. According to this movie, if we don't disturb the past, the right now (as I am writing this) is the reality. Change the past and this posting doesn't exist and even worse, something else exists in this reality we call now. Adding to that is you don't remember what happened if no one corrects the error making it intriguing as time travel can be. Enjoy also so fierce creatures that we simply do not have too much defense against and their will to live at all costs. The premise of time travel presented here is that it is used for entertainment purposes with government supervision. One wonders why it would not be used to update our history books but that is another movie and a different time travel now isn't it? Get a snack ready with a tasty drink and let this be the....
sukhan-22-768673 My goodness what a disappointment! Even with a low budget one can make a good scifi or time travel movie if the plot is intelligent and the actors are convincing. None of this is the case with this sad piece of wasted time. The actors apparently are only in it for the money; particularly Ben Kingsley acts so mechanical, bored and not connected to his role that one can feel how much he hated his job(and himself, probably, for having to make a buck by playing in this movie). The CGI is so poor that one wonders if it is due to the lack of money for special fx or because of the incapability of the CGI designers. The plot.... what could be a good idea is completely wasted in the ever growing paltriness of the effects and the ridiculous CGI-generated characters (a dim rip-off of Jurassic parc characters). The time travel issue is merely a pretense for silly chases and bad acting. Apart from few minutes in the beginning, the entire movie displays the lack of money and the un-inspiredness of playwrights and director. I didn't even watch the movie to the end. Summary: Waste of time.
TheMarwood A Sound of Thunder was collateral damage from the legendary bankruptcy of the scum production company Franchise Pictures, best known for inflating their film's budgets on paper, so partial investors end up paying for most of the budget. This was their final film with Warner Bros who obviously couldn't wait to terminate their contract, as this film is in unreleasable condition. It's a generic dumb as nails big budget film with no money shots because the visual effects are all pre- viz, which makes this look like Z grade Mystery Science Theater quality. Even if the effects were polished, it would still be weak with a boring lead performance from the always boring Edward Burns. But as it stands the effects are so hilariously awful they never let this movie rise above the bottom of the trash bin. Despite Franchise's money woes, neither them or Warner's felt this was a film worth finishing and you can't blame them.
