Manakala filem Abang Long Fadil 2 adalah cerita "fresh" yang tiada berkenaan dengan filem sebelumnya. Kedua-dua filem ini adalah cerita asal, lakon layar, penyunting dan arahan oleh Syafiq Yusof.
