Plantiana Yawn. Poorly Filmed Snooze Fest.
Cathardincu Surprisingly incoherent and boring
Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
Edwin The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
Andy_Aitken I went into this movie with an open view. Being a big Scott Adkins fan as we are both from the UK and we both ride Triumphs, him in the movie and me in real life. I've been a long tome fan and have been admiring his work both in the Asian film market and the Undisputed franchise though I'm torn with this movie. Yes it could have shown his athleticism and acting prowess more than it did as I know for a fact he is capable of more and I would have loved to have seen his fight with Michael Jai White expanded more and felt that Michael was holding back through his scenes against Scott as to not show his own skills as much as he could have. That said it was an entertaining film with some good acting and Ray Stevenson brought an awesome character who I actually liked to the screen though I'd have loved to see a final fight with him in it. Overall I liked this movie, yes it has flaws but as a whole I'd be totally stoked to add it to my collection. I won't lie, Scott Adkins when given the chance can act well and can kick ass with the best of them, truely a way underrated actor in Hollywood and worthy of a shot of fame way larger than he has now.
lkakoullis I am an Aussie and don't mind films from Old Blighty however this was mediocre at best. It was Bollocks which is bad and not "The Dogs Bollocks" which is good. The narrator at the start went on for too long setting the scene for something the did not quite happen. The Accident Man who made a living making it look like an accident and had "Transporter" type rules, really did not do it much in the end. He just beat the crap out everyone that pissed him off. Rules, hey what rules. One of the rules was not to beat up a certain guy he worked with and that was broken too!Scott Adkins is indeed a brilliant fighter and his kicks were technical and brutal so enjoyable to watch. Some opponents such as Jane The Ripper had no such skills, with sloppy kicks that looked more like dance moves which reminded me of Sharon Stone fighting with Arnold Schwarzenegger in total recall.I give it a 4 because its good mindless fun with action a plenty, lots of action movie cliches like a pretty girl with a Katana, but cant give it much higher because the plot and the protagonists motivation was too far fetched.
pal05052003 It is a surprise to see Scott Adkins kicking asses and delivering deadpan humor, but here it is. The action scenes, though spread throughout the movie are not as intense as in the Undisputed series, or any of Adkins' earlier works, yet seeing Adkins as a foulmouth antihero is refreshing. This is a well-rounded action movie with everything you would expect: martial arts, gun fights, and love scenes. Adkins' narration was great and set the tone of the movie. They could have cut out the backstory scene to make it leaner. Though the movie is not perfect, it does highlight Adkins' range as an actor, and I actually believe that if Hollywood ever needs a British version of Deadpool, Adkins is the guy! In fact, I would say this movie is kind of like the Nolanized version of Deadpool. Check for yourself.
lavatch In the bonus segment of the DVD of "Accident Man," the film's director, Jesse V. Johnson, described his film as "'The Office' with violence." As the behind-the-scenes track rolled, one of the cast members described her experience in working on the film as "having a blast."But the director and performers may not have recognized just how unpleasant this film was to the viewers. Johnson described his concept of the lead character Mike Fallon as follows: "I didn't wanna lighten him up; I wanted to keep it very dark." But at some point, the brakes should have been applied to the fight sequences and death scenes. The character of Fallon was based on a comic strip character. But there was nothing that required Johnson to make the character as dark as he was portrayed in the film. As it turned out, the director got exactly what he intended: a gloomy, depressing, and one-note action picture. This would have been a better film if it were "lightened up" a little. There was good potential in the film to humanize Fallon's character more completely, especially in the portrayal of his love for his ex-girlfriend Beth. But it was difficult to see a sensitive side of Fallon when characters like Charlie are consistently telling him what an awful person he is. "Accident Man" is typical of so many British thrillers that go overboard on the violence at the expense of character development. There were some talented performers with skills in martial arts and fight choreography. But the ultimate effect of the film was unwholesome and nasty.
