Antonio, in pretty impressive shape for an older guy, gets even with the killer of his beautiful wife and little daughter. (a tribute to Death Wish?) Once a high powered defense attorney, Frank realizes the error of his ways getting guilty perps off in court. Turns out that Frank'w wive and daughter are killed by a police officer whose own daughter was killed by a goon that Frank successfully defended in court. After the killing, Frank becomes immersed in underground cage fighting then becomes a skilled street fighter himself hanging beatings on a variety of street thugs while searching for the killer(s). He even intervenes to save a 13 year old prostitute (a tribute to Taxi Driver?) where he gets stabbed and falls through a bookstore window. Frank takes a vow of silence which until the killer is caught. This makes him more mysterious and certainly makes his role in this movie a lot easier since he has no lines to remember for nearly two thirds of the film. Frank also pretty much wears the same exact clothes for the remainder of the movie. After being shot he is saved by an attractive Latina nurse who just happens to be driving through a derelict railyard in the middle of the day? Why? We will never know. Fate intervened. She takes Frank to her house and patches him up then falls in love with the silent man. How she lifted him into her car and house is not explained. More mystery in this great movie.Frank eventually suspects a police officer and begins to tail him for an entire week. To remain incognito, Frank tails him in his vintage blue 68 Mustang and later in about a 2008 blue Mustang. Two cars that never stand out in traffic of parked in the cops condo parking lot for hours, right? Frank eventually searches the cops condo (the neatest and most stylishly decorated condo you can imagine) and finds evidence that cop did it. He calls him out for an epic street fight in the same rail yard eventually winning. Frank refuse to kill the cop and lets justice take it course. Viva Frank.

Not sure why I see a lot of negativity concerning this movie. I found it very interesting and I liked the action. Yeah, I could have done without the "silent" aspect of it, and a few oddities (Urban's character talking & helping the man he hates) but overall the action was good and a decent story. To give you an idea, I was already checking if there was going to be a "Acts Of Vengeance 2". To me Banderas should do another, they story can already be laid out with the ending of this movie, and make the movie that much better. Hey there is a John Wick 2 (and 3) and an Equalizer 2, why not a AOV2 :-)

Here we go again Antonio Banderas is on FIRE for more action I Hope He is more in action for real this time i can't really, really remember he made last action movie i know it was Expendables III (2014) then he comeback in action in Security witch was amazing fun action movie should have been in theaters sadly but it didn't this was slaright home budget movie sadly but you don't see any fake CGI or anything like that. but this has some budget to movie noting fake CGI is in this movie. I Thought Director Isaac Florentine was fantastic making a great job of this movie very well made movie Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, Undisputed III: Redemption, Ninja & Ninja Shadow of Tear, Special Forces,Dolph Lundgren Bridge of Dragons, Shepherd Border Patrol With Jean Claude Van Damme, Close Range he worked with Scott Adkins Like 6 times his last movie was amazing and has become one of my favorite movies Close Range was really of action less thriller but this is more of Thriller and Action movie together it's noting like More Thriller less Action or More Action less thriller, it's more mixed together of it in movie so it's Action Thriller film you could say it's American vigilante action film yeah but not really. Antonio Banderas character is really good in movie i mean i prefer his character as El Mariach in Desperado and Once Upon Time In Mexico and i liked his another movies like Assassins, Big Bang, Mask of Zorro, 13 Warrior, Play It To Bone, Haywire, Expendables III, Security and this yes i love Antonio Banderas always great actor long as he does a good or great action movie like this oh yeah Security is great movie that's worth of checking out so as this movie. I Loved How It's Antonio Banderas and Karl Ubarn it's really great having 2 great actors in movie but sadly Karl Ubarn doesn't much to do in this movie sadly but he is in it their and their in seconds he is their like 5 or 10 minutes in movie witch is better then noting i love Karl Ubarn in Dredd and Doom and i also liked Him in Riddick 2nd and 3rd he was in Red yeah i love Karl Ubarn and Almost Human.
Plot starts off A fast-talking lawyer Frank Valera (Antonio Banderas) who Loves his family, has wife Sue Valera (Cristina Serafini) and daughter Olivia Valera (Lillian Blankenship) were going to see Olivia School Play But Frank was going to be their he had a lot of work to do a lot of it, then he was in traffic and he went to school he could not found Sue and Olivia he went home he bought presents for his daughter for saying i am sorry, then he was waiting for them to come home but it turns out to be bad news is that his wife and daughter are killed so no one knows who killed his wife and daughter, and Somehow guess who was their just in seconds in movie (Robert Forster) Chuck was in movie for seconds in funereal i am ok he talks to Frank all he say's i don't want to see you ever again. i am like ok ? Robert Forster was in it for seconds that's it for paycheck sadly he is not in it as much then Frank toke time off at work and went to bar to get pissed and drunk, he goes to back theirs a legal fight underground fighting cage like a MMA fight cage i am like ok ? that was weird behind bar he gets his ass kicked several times just to learn how to fight witch i thought that was stupid thing i saw in movie that kinda not let me down more of me seeing stupid character is fighting in cage without knowing how to fight and been drunk for noting. then when he was saved in cage (Karl Ubarn) Officer Strode now his character was good in movie they had acting scene together witch i thought it was good but i wanted to see more of Antonio Banderas teaming up with Karl Ubarn Character together finding the killer but it doesn't sadly happen in movie. and Strode was trying to help but Frank refused say nah he is doing it on he's own way, he goes to BJJ School learns martial arts then he later on finds a 13 girl year old girl who is a a teenager prostitute somehow Asian mobs come out and Frank Beats them up witch was good fight scene then he gets stabbed in leg and thrown in window he founds this book about vow of silence and then he becomes a transforms his body and takes a vow of silence, not to be broken until he finds out who killed his wife and daughter and has his revenge. not a killing machine just like Going out finding clue who killed his family their is a lot of couple action scenes in movie a lot of action Antonio Banderas does in movie witch was watchable and entering a lot of it in movie a lot of fun. Sheila (Paz Vega) was in movie was is a doctor. she wasn't in movie as much but she was ok. but the all movie is Antonio is kicking bad guys in butt and founding out of a lot of mystery's and clues in movie witch is great to have in movie not a slow mystery movie or anything like that. now it's very enjoyable movie i think i highly recommended to see more Antonio in action a lot more kicking ass including it keeps you watching and watching until end it will surprise you 10.10 sold Worth seeing action movie of all time..

I like his acting, but I don't understand why he's taking such bad scripts and working for such bad directors, lately. This one is as lame as his recent "Security".The plot on this one is just as idiotic. Taking a vow of silence until he gets justice? After seeing police crests with gold thread for likely decades, the detective mumbles that the only clue is some gold threads at the crime scene, but they have no idea what it means.Even the driver's window rolled down (while it's raining), the police miss that as a clue?! *It's been a bloody clue since Magnum Force/Clint Eastwood 1973!* I gave this one a 3 only out of pity, and respect for his reoccurring role of Puss in Boots lol!
