Synopsis

A ratings hit! Amy Schumer debuts her one-hour special in front of a live audience at the Historic Fillmore Theatre in San Francisco. Nothing is off limits as Schumer airs every hilarious, messed up detail of her dating and sex life, from encounters with unexpected body parts to hate-filled personal grooming appointments. In her matter-of-fact raunchy style, at odds with her self-described "Cabbage Patch Kid" appearance, Schumer tells stories of a boyfriend who makes dirty requests over dinner, the way she outsmarts her birth control, and a shocking ending to a seemingly innocent cab ride.

StunnaKrypto Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
Lucia Ayala It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
The Couchpotatoes Like the title says 'Mostly Sex Stuff' this is what you get. Amy makes alot of jokes around that subject and why not? If it's funny then it's okay for me. The only problem I had at one time was that she told a joke that she told in a different show before, well in a later show actually but I saw that show first. Nonetheless I don't think comedians should use the same joke twice in different shows, just come up with something new. But other than that her show was pleasant to watch, with plenty of funny moments, and that's what it's all about when watching a stand-up-comedy. In the extras there are two videos from the 'Roast' show, and even if it's funny that's not totally my kind of humor, because laughing with somebody specifically, the way they look and so on, is just not done to me.
A_Different_Drummer When I used to sit on on auditions for HBO, we judged comics on two scales, material and delivery, and this system has held up over the years. If you watch a lot of sets from newcomers, you will see times when the material is better than the comic, and times when the comic is better than the material. When both are working in sync, you have something special. Occasionally, however, you find a comic not only with superb material and great delivery/timing, but someone who has put their imprint on the entire mixture, and created something so unique -- this is the test -- that you cannot imagine anyone else doing it, and getting away with it. Think of the wonderful, late, George Carlin, Think Lewis Black. With Amy Schumer we have a performer that meets this test. Quirky, kinky, idiosyncratic, by the final credits you cannot remember ever seeing anyone else quite like her. The show was great. The potential is great. And here is the kicker, you have to wonder what would happen if she lightened up on the sex humour (which works about 80% of the time, not too shabby) and took a chance doing "pure" comedy. I once caught an mp3 of her (not from this show) talking about taking a dog home for the weekend for a test drive, understanding that, if you bring it back, they will kill it. No it does not sound especially funny but -- the sign of a potentially great comic -- she MADE the 60 seconds of this bit so funny that, once you hear it, you will never forget the punchline. Repeat: a great show, and a comic with a future.
Cheetah777 Just a young girl telling random lines supposedly about herself. Non coherent structure and every sentence contains at least one "like". The other thing she thinks is funny is using the F-word a lot. Example: "I was like going to a bar, and they were like yeah come in, and I was like F-yeah." She needs a lot of practice because the stuff she is telling at the stage is not even funny to her. Her expressions are forced or faked. Yhe show might be funny if you are 12, otherwise nah. That is not funny in my opinion. If this is the future of comedy my oh my.... Well F her show: Watch something else. If you decide to watch it: count how many times she uses the word "like" ...
Chris L. I could not stop laughing after I saw this show. I was just flipping channels on day on TV. I stopped at Comedy Central when I saw this beautiful woman on the screen. I watched it for a few minutes, then I couldn't stop watching it. That's how good this was. Amy Schumer is insanely funny. I understood everything she said. Me and my step-dad watched her show on Comedy Central. It was the uncensored version. We were so happy when it came off of commercial break, and so angry when it went on commercial break. My mom complained about the noise we were making. "I'm sorry mom, this is just too funny." is what I told her. Amy Schumer is very witty, and clever. Everything she says makes perfect sense. I love her. Great Job.P.S: Did I mention she was beautiful?
