I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Intense, gripping, stylish and poignant

Go in cold, and you're likely to emerge with your blood boiling. This has to be seen to be believed.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

"Angela & Viril" is a Steven Shainberg movie from almost 25 years ago. It only runs for two minutes and is in black-and-white and it is one of the earliest on-screen performances by Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie. She was easily under 20 still when this was made. And I must say as gorgeous as she looked in later years, I did not find her very attractive in this one. The narration here may be the best part, but I believe this film would be probably completely unknown today if it wasn't for Jolie making it big in Hollywood afterward. I personally cannot say I enjoyed the watch too much. It is solidly atmospheric, but this is also really the only area where it delivers. Not recommended.
