Kien Navarro Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
savincostin Aside the story copied from Lion King ,bad lines and attempts at jokes there something that perplexes me about this movie. You see: in this movie all the cows both males and females even newborn have udders and I feel that if they've done that they should have went all the way and also give udders to the dogs ,cats, chicken and pigs, it certainly wouldn't have made the movie any worst. Also some lines like the animals describing the farmer as a "good man, because he's vegan", chickens throwing darts at KFC poster give it away as a pro-vegan advertising material targeted at children: this would also explain why they didn't bother with making the actual movie good. Horrible but I would still recommend this to be watched as a study case
SnoopyStyle Otis the Cow (Kevin James) is the carefree irresponsible son of Ben the cow (Sam Elliott). So while Otis danced, Ben was fighting off the coyotes from the hen house. When Ben dies fighting the coyotes, Otis must step up, but he just can't fill his father's shoes.Steve Oedekerk did not have a good day when he created this pretty boring cartoon. The animation is horrendous. I don't know if it's a style choice, but it looks extremely cheap. There's a good message in here, but it's lost in weak humor and weaker characters. The movie is missing joy. Even when they're throwing around some jokes, they never work. Otis is just not likable.
TheLittleSongbird I don't think this is the worst animated movie I have ever seen, Titanic:The Animated Movie, Doogal and Secret of NIMH 2 are worse I feel, but Barnyard in my opinion isn't particularly that good. It does have a decent vocal cast; Kevin James, Courtney Cox, Danny Glover, Sam Elliot and Rob Paulsen do a good job but deserve better than their material lets them onto. And I did like the saying "A strong man stands up for himself, a stronger man stands up for others".However, there were many things I did not like. The animation is not that great I feel, there is the occasional nice colourful background, but the character movements are cheap, forced and blocky. At best the music is forgettable, the story is unoriginal and uninspired, the dialogue is simplistic and often lowbrow, the gags are crude and totally not smart(well there was the occasional laugh but that isn't enough, but they went well overboard with the udders) and the characters(with the exception of Ben and Dag the Coyote) are obnoxious and unlikeable, with no really unique personalities. Overall, a big disappointment, could have been much better. 3/10 Bethany Cox
cipriana0106 The ONLY thing that bothered me throughout the entire movie were the udders shaking about in my face. Who cares if they talk, if it's violent (Tom and Jerry, Woody Woodpecker anyone?), but the fact that the entire crew overlooked such an obvious error is REALLY disturbing. It's like an insult...and the fact that they don't seem to change that error is even more offensive. I have even written to the producers, to the channel, and no one cares. It's really, really annoying. I thought the story was fun and the series is no different, but there is no way on earth I will ever stop being amazed at the ignorance of the creators. The makers of Ratatoille did extensive research on French restaurant kitchens, actors research their characters...
