Paul Magne Haakonsen Well, true "Blockers" is indeed generic and predictable for what it turned out to be. But do take into consideration the type of movie that it is and the playing field in which it operates. Thus, this is not the movie that you expect will move your cinematic experience by a milestone. Hardly so. No, you know what you are getting yourself into when you sit down to watch "Blockers".And writers Brian Kehoe and Jim Kehoe did manage to put together a story that works out quite nicely. And by the hands of director Kay Cannon, their material is brought adequately and entertainingly to life on the screen.Sure, "Blockers" follow that stereotypical formula of how to make a comedy in this particular genre. But isn't that exactly what makes them work and makes them entertaining and funny? At least it is for me. Yes, you know how the movie will turn out, but it is not about the ending here, it is about the journey along the way. And definitely about the laughs.I will say that "Blockers" is packed with an abundance of funny moments, situations and awkwardness. I was more than adequately entertained throughout the course of the entire movie, and I had many good laughs.You can always count of Leslie Mann to deliver a good performance in comedies like this, and "Blockers" is no different. However, I will say that John Cena actually surprised me a lot. His performance was actually quite good and he was cast quite well for that particular role. I must admit that I had strong reservations about watching him in a movie, but he nailed in here. And Ike Barinholtz was also quite hilarious in the movie.If you enjoy a light-hearted comedy that does not challenge your intellect, where you just sit back and enjoy the movie and have some laughs, then "Blockers" is definitely well worth picking up.

Edvis-1997 Leslie Mann and John Cena made this movie watchable. This film wasn't something wow or amazing pretty basic and phatetic any of those 3girls didn't convince me with actress skills.

Harrison Tweed (Top Dawg) Worst acting, dialogue, writing/screenplay and bad casting. We had just finished watching a very funny and enjoyable Life of the Party and thought this would be as good if not better based on the trailer. The trailer was the entire film's best parts. Everything else was so infantile and terrible. Stupid doesn't even begin to describe it. A generous 3/10 from me.
