Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??

It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

This movie was unexpectedly funny and gross. I thought it was going to be a horror style movie but it was comedy horror. The funny part is, it's so true. I've worked in an office for many years and the fact is, it drives you crazy. What could be funnier than the office dork chasing you for $20? It happens every week. The hidden affairs, ridiculous callous management, all true. The security guard scenes are funny. I love the Joey Kern actor guy, he is funny. There's no lame nudity or any lame jokes. Other highlights - the angry HR lady that is dating the main character, how the manager hits on her and she is blatantly revolted. Well done to the creators of this.

...mostly on the strength of its ensemble cast, "Bloodsucking Bastards" plays out like Joss Whedon-lite, which comes as no surprise given its creators' various pedigrees and associations. The feel is that of a made-for-TV movie, in that there's not a single moment of it that calls for big-screen presentation; it's all talking heads and minimal "action," which I suppose is fine for passing the time, but not much else. Ultimately, I was reminded of a low-fi version of "Fright Night," even down to the femme lead named Amanda. It's not an awful film, and pretty much accomplishes what it set out to do, but the bar was low and no one involved seems to have had much interest in raising it. Strictly for vampire geeks in need of a quick snack and willing to be hungry again within the hour.

Okay I've seen worse, but yeah not too impressive movie and takes far too long time for any bloodsucking to commence, first half of the movie is pretty much a (mostly mean-spirited) office comedy with mostly unlikeable characters. The second half, or to be correct the last 30 minutes is rather entertaining and action-packed but we had to sit through 50 minutes of (mostly) unfunny jokes and little plot to get there, and you have to judge the movie on a whole not a good last third.Horror in the office can be done well 'NOT SAFE FOR WORK (2014)' with Max Minghella is a good example of that, or if you need a bit of comedy in your office-horror 'INHUMAN RESOURCES' aka 'REDD INC. (2012)' is a much better alternative than this.

Unlike the vast majority of the reviews that I read here for Bloodsucking Bastards I was disappointed with the movie. When I read it was going to be a funny slasher movie I was excited because that's a genre of movie I do like. Maybe I was hoping for the same level of movie as Braindead, Evil Dead or Deathgasm but honestly it doesn't reach near the level of those classics. I thought they were trying too hard being funny while in the other movies it looked all natural. Add to that that the story wasn't that exciting and the slashing moments were not that great either and you get as result that I was starting to doze. And that's not really the purpose of a funny slasher. Maybe I was just too tired and that's why I missed some parts but I just think the movie was not entertaining enough to keep me awake. I will never know for sure because I won't watch it a second time.
