GazerRise Fantastic!
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Marva-nova Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
Wyatt There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
TownRootGuy A movie with a lot of good ass kicking, of course! It's Sly, what else is he going to do? Comedy...? This movie has high-octane action, great eye candy, don't-blink-and-you'll-probably-still-miss-it naked eye candy, iconic stars AND you'll laugh or Mr. Stallone will trick you into marrying Theresa, his OTHER daughter. This is easily watchable every 3 years or so.
LouAbbott "Bullet to the Head" is a slam-bang, hard-boiled crime film about a rogue cop (Sylvester Stallone) who long ago turned hit man. If you are a fan of this type of film, I highly suggest you take a look. High body count! Action scenes well staged. A straight-ahead action film. No BS romance stuff. Regarding reviews stating Stallone cannot act, they miss the point. Stallone is an actor yes, good or bad. But more importantly, he is an on-screen presence. A force of nature. When Stallone is on screen, you look at him. Few actors (Eastwood, Bronson, Lawrence Tierney come to mind) had the same charisma.
markwoo A sad and depressing little film which shows how badly time has ravaged Stallone. He has never been that much of an actor but as an ageing hit-man he simply is not credible. The axe fight is about as stupid an idea for a climax as I have ever seen and the idea that Stallone's character could ever prevail against someone of Jason Momea's physical prowess defies belief. The scene in the car where the bent local cop is holding his gun to Sung Kang's head before getting his own head shot by Stallone is, perhaps, even more far-fetched. How could Stallone approach the car unseen and line up such a difficult shot i.e. one that did not also put Sung Kang at risk of being in the line of fire. The rest of the film is full of clichés so familiar that I cannot help but think that film scripts are being written by a machine based solely on what was in films that made money before and repeating the same ideas in a slightly different combination. Brainless plotting, poor acting a real turkey. Anyone who rates this film is deluded!
slightlymad22 Sylvester Stallone was currently enjoying an Indian summer of stardom thanks to his return to Rambo and the Expendables franchise, plus his much praised role in the last Rocky movie, when he signed up to make this movie. Plot In A Paragaph: After watching their respective partners die, a New Orleans hit-man (Sly Stallone) and a Washington D.C. detective (Sung Kang) team up in order to bring down their common enemy. This is one of his movies where Stallone's ego and interfering for in the way of a potentially good movie. Wayne Kramer was originally hired to direct. However after clashing with Stallone over the tone of the film, he left the production and was replaced by Walter Hill. From this point both Stallone and Hill performed uncredited re-writes on the screenplay.Thomas Jane was brought into the project by original director Wayne Kramer. When Kramer left the project, Jane suggested Sylvester Stallone to hire Walter Hill. After Hill took over directorial duties, Joel Silver came on board the project and fired Jane because he wanted an ethnic guy for the other lead role. Sung Kang was subsequently cast.Whilst I don't hate this movie, it's not as good as it could have been. I did like the score Jason Moma is a menacing villain, Sarah Shahi is attractive with a nice bum and Stallone is always worth watching, but it just doesn't come together. Walter Hill directed some decent movies and Sly Stallone has starred in some decent stand alone movies. This isn't one of them. Stallone remains watchable as always but these are not ninety of his better minutes
