In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

It has been quite some time since ive seen this movie last, but i loved this movie when i was younger. I love the songs and i like the story. It´s not as good as the HSM movies but it´s pretty good.

Camp Rock is somehow like High School Musical in a much better way. It focus more on the plot of the story instead of the songs. The Jonas Brothers did a great job with their movie debut. Demi Lovato has amazing vocals, much better than Vanessa Hudgens, she has a great smile and personality too. I am counting myself a big fan of hers. The songs are very good esp. Mitchi's last one. The dancing was also impressive. What I love the most about the movie is the ending. How Shane incorporated his song into hers was really brilliant. Their chemistry was breathtaking.Honestly, I had really so much fun watching this movie and its sequel.I wish they make a CR3 soon.

My children and I were lucky enough to see this movie a little early due to the fact that it was on Disney On Demand. Good entertaining movie for the family. I gave it 4 stars, because I thought it was a little short and could have used a little more substance to the story. It seemed to have just raced through to the end. I don't want to ruin the story for everyone, but the music was good and there were some cute parts. Flour in the face, slipping on the floor and the poor brother with his birdhouse obsession. I was disappointed that the other Jonas brothers weren't part of the main story, but rather made cameo appearances. Mitchie and Shane were really cute together and I am glad she put him in his place, because he started out as a real jerk. I loved their duet together at the end where they put their two different songs together and made it flow as one. The end was surpising to my children because the person who won the contest was not who they thought it would be. All in all the kids loved the music and really enjoyed the movie and already they have watched it over and over. We will definitely be getting the DVD when it comes out.

I didn't exactly have the highest of expectations, which probably made the film slightly more bearable. The problem was that 15 minutes in I thought to myself that this could be alright. It seemed intelligent and fun at the same time, something that is difficult to get in a kids movie. How disappointed was I then, when it descended into clichéd nonsense, especially with the "I was just trying to fit in and be popular but at the end of the day I've found out who I really am" rubbish? It was just far too unoriginal, but if you're going to copy other plots from other films then you at least do a good job of it, this film really doesn't. The lead it to Miley Cyrus-esq, but just not as talented (as least that's the impression I got) and the girl opposite her playing the bad girl was too watered-down "Mean Girls". Young girls of about 7-12 might be interested, but otherwise stay clear. The whole thing is so High School Musical wanna-be, and just isn't
