Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

Michael J Lawrence Now a car of a certain age, Lightning finds himself falling behind as the next generation of high tech race cars take the field. Confronted with his inevitable decline, he reports to his new owner and a state-of-the-art training facility where he meets his new trainer, Cruz. Annoying and chirpy, Cruz tries to help an old car regain his glory, but she doesn't know what it means to be a racer. Soon enough, Lightning is doing what he does best and strikes out on his own path. But if he can't win the next race, his racing days are over. But there's more to Cruz than Lightning knows. And, as it turns out, there is more to him, as well. Together, they will help each other find exactly what they need to face an uncertain future.If you are still young at heart and willing to let Pixar tug at your heartstrings, this is a very endearing story with a noble theme that victory is more than just winning. I honestly teared up at this one and found it to be as compelling as the first in the Cars series, perhaps even more so.Well written with a lot of heart, this is what old school Pixar is all about. And - there is a nifty inside joke for those who are into 3-D modelling. Lightning gets a repaint and it turns out that his old dialectric textures are enhanced with snazzy new PBR and metalness.

mto10 I thought the movie was pretty good throughout. My main problem with it was the ending. Lightning McQueen should've won his last race on his own, and in doing it the way they did, it removes the message of you can do anything you set your mind to. Having McQueen mentor Cruz in general was a good idea, but the execution was poor. Leaving a somewhat disappointing ending for the Cars franchise. One question I'm left with, how old is McQueen in this movie? It doesn't make it clear, although one can assume that he's been doing this for a long time now that one of the Cars grandfathers was able to watch him? I believe the people rating 1* aren't giving the movie enough credit, although I agree with a lot of their points, such as what I listed above, it was still a good Pixar movie. My Rating: 8/10

Oliver Thatcher Watson This movie is one of the biggest turnarounds from what seemed to be a doomed franchise I've ever seen. It seems like Pixar did learn from most of their mistakes with Cars 2, because this film is another example of what Pixar does best. I came into the theater with not a lot of optimism, due to Cars 2 being a disappointment. But, to my surprise, I really enjoyed my time, as I might like this movie almost as much as I do the first, which was, in my opinion, a Pixar classic. The story, premise, CGI, and animation are all great in this movie, which is what made the first one a smash hit in 2006. This movie looks beautiful, the story is poignant, the premise is really good, and best of all, this movie isn't a stupid spy movie for once, which is a breath of fresh air if I say so myself. I did notice that this movie can sometimes rely too heavily on a few plot points that were in the first movie and how the flow of this movie, while still really good, is a bit stretchy at times, which can make a scene or two either feel long or short. These minor flaws did not hinder my feelings of this film too much, because it is still one of the best comebacks I have ever seen, as the franchise is getting back on track to being great again. I recommend everyone who loves the Cars films to see this movie, because this has most of the great things that made the first film great while still feeling like a proper continuation, as this film is an amazing sequel that Cars 2 should have been.

vciccarello First off, I want to say that when Cars 1 first came out, I loved that movie and I sill love it today. I was about 6 when Cars 2 came out, I liked it when I was younger, but now I don't. Now, I'm 13 and this came out on Netflix a little while ago. Boy, was I dissapointed. In this movie, McQueen retires after a new racer who turns out to be faster than McQueen. This means that he is done racing for life because he is too old. But McQueen doesn't want to stop racing, so one day he gets invited to a place that he'll spend the rest of his life at. A girl car named Cruz who turns out to be a fan of McQueen is his instructor. Since McQueen is too old to finish his race, he let Cruz finish it for him.If you're a fan of the first Cars, don't watch it. I have to give some credit of this movie being better than the second Cars though.5/10
