Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Robert Joyner
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

"Cheburashka idyot v shkolu" or "Cheburashka Goes to School" is the fourth and last installment to the Soviet Cheburashka series that already started in the 1960s and quite a while has passed between the third and this final installment to the franchise. Writer and director is once again Roman Kachanov and by the 1980s, it was already safe to say who the star from the series was: It is Cheburashka thanks to his cuteness. The others are pretty good supporting characters too though and I personally liked how they kept bringing them back. Always nice to see familiar faces. So yeah, even as a non-Russian, you may understand that this one is about Cheburashka going to school. But is it the best choice for him? Watch for yourself. The IMDb rating is a bit lower, but I personally think, it is still worth checking out and I would not say it is worse quality than the first 3 films. Also maybe a good decision to keep this one shorter instead of maybe including uninteresting story elements and stretching it to 20 minutes. I think it was a good watch and if you enjoyed the 60 minutes before it, then go watch it. Thumbs up from me. For this one and the entire series.
