Synopsis

Choppertown is the world’s first motorcycle documentary about the renowned hot rod and motorcycle club, the Sinners. Modern day greasers, the Sinners are all about the old school. None of them is old enough to have experienced the hot rod heydays of the ‘50s and ‘60s, but still they live on the edge of society chopping cars and bikes and searching for vintage parts to make their “Rat Rods”, “Trumps”, “Mercs”, and “Bobbers” into rolling works of art.

SoTrumpBelieve Must See Movie...
MamaGravity good back-story, and good acting
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
jacobmdecosta 1. I wasen't in the right mood to watch this movie, but it is good. 2. As I stated in the title, it's more about friendship.3. Rico is definitely a character.
jimmccool Some folks say the American dream is dead, but this movie shows this is just not so... Here lies dream fodder for folks all over the world who can dream of long South California summers, dream of real buddies who will help a guy hand-build a real beauty of a roarin' machine, dream of soundtracks by the brilliant James Inveldt, soundtracks of real punk and real rockabilly to a life of freedom on the open highways, rippin' through the desert.Beautiful.Many thanks to all the guys who made this wonderful and inspiring film. This is the best motorsnuckle film I have seen The Loveless and deserves similar acclaim.
Homongous I've watched, and lost my taste for, American Chopper and Monster Garage. It turns out, this is what I was waiting for all along. What do you do when you're working class or out-of-working class, don't have (1) access to a cavernous shop full of sparkling tooling and fabrication equipment, (2) money and contacts for designer frames and components, or (3) the kind assistance of a rich Cable TV network? You grab some beers and your best buds and hit the junkyards. You wright with your hands, you refurbish (or not), you improvise. You use your love, your expertise, your blood, and those of your buds and turn that junk to gold. What's left after that? Two things. The ride and the party. This movie is as much about deep, deep bonds and the joy that can be made out of a hard life as it is about a build. It's a marriage of art and philosophy -- simple and vivid as a haiku.
ironever2001 Choppertown is an emotional experience to the minority of us that live and breathe motorcycles. From the massaging of the frame to the first breath of fire, the experience of a build is projected in the honesty and Karma/Zen like philosophy of it's creators. The movie and every soul involved presents an honest glimpse into the lifestyle of the very few that choose a different code to live by. The movie is what I look for in all movies..a worthwhile subject, colorful characters, determination, and an exciting conclusion that makes the viewer looking for more! I soaked up every bit of the movie, and the extras provided in the DVD. I hope there will be a sequel, but only if it's done to the specifications of The Sinners, as with the original. "Choppertown" will sustain you through the snowy winter, and motivate you when it's time to ride! It's a great gift for any occasion.... Make it a part of your collection, you won't regret it.
