Ceticultsot Beautiful, moving film.
SparkMore n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.
Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Lucia Ayala It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
disdressed12 this is a pretty good movie, all things considered.it has its moments of suspense and tension, and there are a few possible suspects for the psycho,at least in the first half or so.the acting is fairly decent, and the writing is fair.i will say that i found that sometimes the build up to some scenes is a bit too drawn out.and the ending is a bit too ambiguous for me.however, having Jerry Wasserman as the creepy town sheriff is a stroke of casting genius.you never really know what's going on in his mind, and whether he's a good guy or a bad guy,at least until near the end of the movie.he steals every scene he's in.John Savage is also good as the creepy father.when you add everything up,this movie is certainly watchable and more than that at times.for me,"Christina's House" is a 7/10
bela_bombastic This movie was very bad. Do not rent it if you want to be scared, because you won't. Unless you're really easy to scare. It is so funny how the movie tries to trick you with all of these obvious suspects, ie: the dad, who likes his little girl a little too much; the boyfriend, who has a bad temper; and the carpenter, who is always just popping up out of nowhere. Christina's always scantily clad when they make her out to be very modest and doesn't want to have sex with her boyfriend. As if that's believable! And I love how on the cover the boyfriend is shown as being the main guy when Christina is pushed to the right of him. It is called CHRISTINA'S house, for god's sake! But I thought it was hilarious. It's my sense of humor though. So, if you don't think really lame obvious things are funny, don't listen to a word I say.
thewag777 A pretty good B horror movie. It was suspenseful, the plot was a little above mediocrity, but not great. Not much for gore hounds I'm afraid, though there was some blood near the end. The acting was very good, but then, I usually watch stuff like Polonia Bros. and other Microbudget rubbish. What we have here is a pretty teenage girl played by Allison Lange, who has moved with her father and little brother into an old house. Some creepy things start to happening in this house and it slowly builds up to a climactic ending. Very much in the style of some of the 70s horror, such as 'Amittyville Horror.' This isn't as good as that, because the plot is very predictable after 30 years of such movies, but it is worth watching. The one thing that stands out is the father and his relationship with Christina. I haven't seen any mention of this in the reviews I have read, but the father seems to have an unnatural love for his daughter, and she seems to know it, but represses it. When she was washing the dishes at one point, he told her something like, 'you look good tonight Christina.' She clearly felt awkward and changed the subject. All in all, I give this slightly above average suspense horror a 6 out of 10. But Allison Lange should be commended for her acting and I would say deserves to be in some better pictures in the future.
BloodTheTelepathicDog I wanted a haunted house movie, but instead got a deranged lunatic flick.Allison Lange, as Christina, is obviously the main draw here. Her stunning beauty kept me going, even when it became obvious that this wasn't going to appeal to me.After placing their mother in a looney bin, Christina, her brother and father move into a new house. Everyone seems comfortable in their new setting except for Christina. She can't take a bath in peace, finds cookie crumbs all over her room and is pressured by her father to be a pseudo mother figure to her little brother. All of this piles up on her, and she finds herself following in her crazy mother's footsteps. The cast isn't very likable. Lange does an adequate job but John Savage as her father is better, as well as Jerry Wasserman portraying a tough guy cop. Christina's brother and best friend were not appealing actors at all, and Brendan Fehr has come a long way since this.Only redeemable quality is Allison Lange taking a bath. That's it.
