Good start, but then it gets ruined

This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

A couple of reviewers here - no offence guys - seem to have had a humour bypass. This movie is a delight.Yes of course the FX are ridiculous - they make no attempt to be realistic. In fact it's obvious they've gone out of their way (at times) to make them ridiculous. If you don't laugh at the ludicrous spacecraft then I think you're missing the point. The script and acting are top-notch, with some wonderfully laugh-out-loud moments and the movie accomplishes the rare feat of matching wacky sketch-show type comedy with moments of real tenderness and charm. The writing for the two men in black in particular is fabulous, and their performances are right on the money. Actually all the performances are excellent, especially the female lead (Lisa Haas). We loved it so much we watched it twice within a couple of days. Highly recommended.

Inhabitants of an alien planet decide that their ozone depletion can only be solved by one or two of their race having their hearts broken. Zoinx and Zylar are dispatched to Earth to have their hearts broken. Zoinx meets Jane and eventually gets to know her somewhat. Two men-in-black types observe this process, and attempt to blur the memories of any sightings. It seems, though, that no intervention is needed; nobody notices anything in this film.Jokes are made about new foods: alcoholic beverages, coffee, desserts. Jokes are made about culture clashes. All jokes failed. The aliens go home by means that challenge the lower bounds of all SFX. This was one of the worst SFX films ever made. In the right hands, that might have been funny.-----Scores-----Cinematography: 2/10 Greyscale, so-so in quality. The quality dropped off when the camera work switched to shaky cam.Sound: 2/10 Irritating electronic music. Irritating alien voices. Irritating background rap music.Acting: 0/10Screenplay: 0/10 Nothing comedic, nothing engaging, nothing informative, nothing touching.

CODEPENDANT LESBIAN SPACE ALIEN SEEKS THE SAME 2012 Madeleine Olnek. * This American piece of garbage resembles less of a film school project and more of a badly filmed kindergarten project. Olnek wrote it (if you can believe anyone did) and directed. It is a spoof sc-fi where female aliens come from another world to have their hearts broken in order to save the ozone level of their planet that is being depleted by too much emotion. (It is eventually discovered that the cause of the depletion is actually sun light reflecting off their bald heads). Now why they are lesbians is never explained. Neither is the fact that the aliens who have landed are tracked by 2 male undercover secret agents who are monitoring aliens, one of whom is an alien himself. One of the female aliens falls in love with a fat bespectacled lesbian, however when they make love they touch noses (so at least we are saved anything graphic). The earth lesbian is sad an pathetic and can't bear to lose the only person who even gave her love so gets on board the alien ships (that resembles a baking tin made of foil). That's the feeble plot, the script is even worse, the acting abysmal, all the aliens speak like automatons and the filming/photography static, added to which the special effects make Blake 7 look cutting edge. Oh and it's marketed as being funny. The humour was as absent as any scientific plausibility.

Having been lucky to get to see the German premier of this film I must say it was a real joy. Excellent acting by the leads in this gay extraterrestrial romantic comedy, and some comedy scenes from the two agents that had me in stitches. Unlike the other reviewer, I did not find their presence in the work at all out of place, and certainly did not feel the humour petered out.
