Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!
Huievest Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Francene Odetta It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
callanvass Number two itself was pretty bad, but at least it had some corny moments to laugh at, this plays it completely serious, with not one likable character in the entire movie!. The original had a lot of depth to it, we were able to care for the characters, even Sebastian had a sense of likability to him, here we get none of that. Patrick|Wetherington| is a laughably whiny wannabe macho type who grovels when he gets hurt like a coward when it's his own doing. Jason|Kerr Smith| is a wannabe Sebastian without the charisma, and does nothing but evil, so I couldn't relate to him what so ever. Kristina Anapau|Cassidy| Tries so hard to emulate Sarah Michelle Gellar's success, but she's not nearly attractive, seductive, or talented enough to do it. It's very bland stuff, and not just because it's Direct to DVD, it's just boring, and as I said having virtually no likable characters does not help things.Bottom line. Cruel Intentions 3 is a laughable attempt. They should have quit while they were ahead, they really should have. Leave this in the bargain bin where it belongs, along with Cruel Intentions 2, and watch a real movie like the original.3/10
BA_Harrison I'm pretty sure that I am in the minority when I say that I prefer the unsophisticated Cruel Intentions 2 over it's self-consciously cool predecessor. Part 3 of the series offers even more sex and nudity, much sleazier wagers, and a totally outrageous plot in which the main characters go to almost any lengths to beat their rivals. Not surprisingly, I found it to be very entertaining.Kerr Smith plays Jason, an annoyingly handsome and rather devious prep school student who, along with his amoral pal Patrick (Nathan Wetherington), has made an art out of seducing hot women. After playing a mean trick on rich bitch Cassidy (played by brunette hottie Kristina Anapau), with whom Jason has a love/hate relationship, the two guys realise that they need a tougher challenge, so they set out to bed two of the least available girls on campus. However, when Patrick uses particularly nasty tactics to achieve his desired results, Jason teams up with Cassidy to teach the scoundrel a lesson.Whilst Cruel Intentions 3 may not be in the least bit believable, with its ridiculously gorgeous yet impossibly wicked characters and extremely unlikely plot developments, it is a whole heap of tacky fun. There's loads of eye candy for both guys and girls, some gratuitous T&A, and lots of wanton debauchery, meaning that those who enjoy titillating and tawdry trash will not be disappointed.
jhinchcl You've got to be kidding me.The 2nd one was atrocious. Hardly any sequel is better than the first (except maybe Beverly Hills Cop and a couple others). That blonde girl was so freaking annoying I wanted to jab a spear in my eye.The 3rd one isn't an Oscar winner but it's way more entertaining than #2. The 2nd may show more skin if that's what you're watching for ... but that's about all it has over the 3rd one (although they're essentially equal).None will ever compare with good IL' Reese in the first movie. Now she's stuck doing stupid movies that appeal only to those who wear bras. Thanks, Reese. (BOOOOOOO)
redhead52788 I really had my doubts about this movie after viewing Cruel Intentions 2. I don't believe using other actor's to play the parts of Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Sabastian (Ryan Phillipe) helped either. So when I discovered that they were using new characters all together, I was interested. I also enjoyed the first movie so much that I would give any sequel to it a chance. However, they do mention Kathryn and Sabastian because Cassidy is Kathryn's cousin in this movie.I found that the many twists in this movie kept it interesting. I was bored up till the first twist and after that, I enjoyed the movie the whole way through. The ending disappointed me, however. But it does somewhat give hopes for another sequel. This movie was pretty decent compared to the second one.
