While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Quiet Muffin
This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Blistering performances.

DARNA VS. THE PLANET WOMEN is a very low budgeted little Filipino action movie featuring an ass-kicking female superhero battling against an alien race planning to dominate mankind. In other words this is a localised version of WONDER WOMAN, with a lookalike copy-cat heroine and a much, much lower budget than an average episode of the '70s TV show. Vilma Santos is the arresting heroine of the piece; she played Darna a few times during her career and is the best actor here. The villains are a laughable bunch with the blue-skinned leader particularly amusing, and the various action and SFX sequences are quite laughable. This is certainly a far cry from the great superhero kid's stuff that Japan, for example, was making during the decade.
