Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

trashgang This flick is really one for teens looking for some science fiction and a bit of horror. And if those teens are into blonds than they surely have found what they are looking for. And as an extra, they show their tits. Wow, as a teen I really would liked it, it's all about teens and remembered me of flicks like The Faculty. But for me it was just a cheap rip off of Species. Here we have sexy blonds looking out for teen boys to freeze them to death. Once they are making love their chest, in fact their missing belly button spawns some tentacles. But from there on things go wrong, it's all CGI. And the use of CGI and no blood tears this flick down. It is said that it is also a comedy, well, warn me when I have to laugh. Not for me this one but for teens, well, they will love those decoys.

capkronos At St. John's College, in a small snowy Canadian town, all the male students are foaming at the mouth over a slew of spanking new blonde, buxom and beautiful party-hearty hotties over at the Phil Beta Omega sorority house. Unfortunately for them, the ladies actually turn out to be scaly alien creatures in disguise who thrive on cold temperatures and male DNA, which they extract with blood-sucking tentacles that come out of their chests. As victims begin popping up ("frozen from the inside out"), a freshman student (Corey Sevier) discovers their secret and must convince a disbelieving pair of detectives (Richard Burgi and Nicole Eggert), his pretty tomboy friend (Meghan Ory) and his virginal roommate (Elias Toufexis) what's really going on. Their weakness is fire, which leads to a finale with our distraught hero raiding the sorority house and going on a flame-thrower rampage.DECOYS has a pretty entertaining and amusing first two-thirds, but it severely slips up near the end when it becomes a little more serious than its silly premise can believably accommodate. And there's an irritating non-ending to contend with as well, but the special effects are passable, there are a few genuine laughs and the cast does a pretty good job. Best of all is Kim Poirier, whom you may remember as the girl who got that nasty chainsaw death in the DAWN OF THE DEAD remake. That film wasn't much of a showcase for the actress, but here she gets the chance to shine playing one of the seductive aliens. Just watching her go from an ice cream cone-licking seductress to a more emotional being when she warms up to one of the guys, you can see she has enough range and sex appeal to go far in Hollywood given the right breaks come her way. And though Sevier overdoes it a bit near the end, he probably has a bright future ahead of himself, as well.Apparently, this was a theatrical release in Canada and a very limited big screen release in the U.S. before heading to video and the SciFi Channel.

Enchorde Recap: Luke and Roger are roommates at college, and the main interests are sex, girls and alcohol. One night, while doing the laundry and drinking beer two beautiful girls comes in flirting heavily with him. Luke thinks he's in heaven. After they leave, Luke finds a roll of quarters that one of the girls, Lilly, left. He goes to return the roll, but when nobody answers at the door he sneaks into their room. Suddenly he hears somebody coming in after him. Thinking, probably correctly, that he has blown his chances if found breaking in to their room he hides in the closet. There he sees something that will change him forever. The girls strip down, but when naked some freakishly alien tentacles sprout from their chest. And soon male students turn up dead, frozen from the inside out. No one believes Luke's story, not even Roger, who is about to score with the other girl, Constance...Comments: If, and this is a big if, you get your expectations right you might actually get some good entertainment out of this. If you expect it to be what it is, which is mostly low-quality crap, you might get some good laughs out of it. Unfortunately those laughs are mostly at it instead of with it. The idea (obviously) of the movie is to put a story full of sex, some nudity and beautiful girls without getting a too high rating, allowing teen boys to see it. And it does this knowingly, and apparently with some self-distance and criticism as it sometimes seems to joke with itself and the genre, which are the best parts.Oddly enough, somewhat two thirds into the movie, it suddenly changes its genre and strategy going from comedy/horror to romantic drama. With it, my appreciation plunges. The movie doesn't have the quality of story, or the quality of actors (whose performances are outright laughable sometimes) to pull it off. Luckily, it slowly, but never completely, changes back towards the end.Another point of confusion is the lead character of Luke, who in his desperation to reveal the aliens, starts out as a Peeping Tom, advances to assault, kidnapping and finally arson. At the end he seems to be completely mad, and to feel sympathy for him or identify with him is impossible. You might find yourself feeling more for the "evil" aliens. I wonder if that was the idea from the beginning...But all in all. With my low expectations I got more enjoyment out of it than I expected. Therefore I give it such a high rating as 5/10

TdSmth5 Like other Canadian horror movies, this one too, is rather mild and benevolent and opposed to the recent wave of mean-spirited American productions. The story involves female aliens disguised as "hot" college girls looking to procreate. I use quotations marks because the supposedly super hot sorority chicks aren't particularly attractive. Some even look well past college age. With one exception: Kim Poirier who absolutely steals the show. What an adorable and sexy woman. She just sets the screen on fire. Why haven't we seen more of her, she can easily carry a movie and deserves more work. The movie has a soft look and there's quite a bit of focus on relationships and friendships, unlike ordinary horror flicks that are more like loosely connected gore segments. Overall the tone is refreshing and enjoyable. The script is standard with one exception, the surprise twist at the end, which I didn't expect at all, given that everything seemed standard. Movies like these should really be offered also in unrated editions, so there's more nudity and sexual situations, given the theme of this movie. I'm looking forward to seeing part II.
