Grimossfer Clever and entertaining enough to recommend even to members of the 1%
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
amrshehata85 Okay, so we have a 70-80-minute movie. And the script and whole story would only do for a 15-minute one. What should we do? Let's see. Yes, let's have the characters drive, walk and canoe most of the time. And let us not forget to add some horror score even if what is on screen is only a tree or a flower - just so that our viewers would not forget this is a horror movie. Well, the only horrific element in this crapastrophic movie is the acting. And, yes, it was that horrific. I watched halfway through this movie with my nephew, and we couldn't get past the 40-minute mark - since, by then, there was nothing but characters walking, driving and talking. There was not a single interesting aspect of this snooze fest. There is no story, let alone a backstory, no scares and no chemistry between the two leads. To add insult to injury, whenever the female protagonist saw the 'ghost' - which was definitely nothing more than a 5-minute job done on Paintbrush - she acts like she hadn't seen a darn thing. Hogwash! We actually got to see that she saw the ghost in full view, once for more than a few seconds. Does the director really want to treat his viewers as if they were dumb? Does he think we are as shallow as the abomination that is the script - or lack thereof - he is working with? Does he not know what horror flicks are made of? There are no words in the English language and not enough space in the universe to state just how terrible a movie this is. I am sure watching a vegetable rotting or paint drying would be much more fun, and a far better investment of your time, than seeing this.
Zombiegirl2016 The British horror film industry is littered with tired irrelevant horror. Low budget tat, regurgitated stories poor performances. But in two days I have been able to see two movies that make the difference. First I saw Death Walks, then I Saw this.In wandering Rose a young couple are on holiday, to get away from it all. He wants sex, she wants a rest, and is clearly disturbed by something.Wandering rose, is a very slow burning horror tale, it flaps about a bit at times, then at others is a series of scenes that just don't motivate. Beyond this though, you have a very clever little tale, that looks every bit as beautiful as movies like Eden Lake, but is shot on a shoestring. Director Greenop, really proves he has the power to be a potential master of horror, much like Johannes Roberts, I suspect he will build as one movie moves on to another, budgets getting higher, stories better. This is a really nice first effort from an amateur filmmaker, soon to become a professional.
Claudio Carvalho Theo (David Wayman) and his pregnant girlfriend Rose (Carina Birrell) travel to an isolated camping area by van to spend the weekend. During the night, they are waken by Officer Thwaites (Cameron Jack) that warns the couple that they are in a dangerous area and suggests them to move to a nearby camping. Rose is disturbed with the baby and is haunted by visions and dreadful nightmares. She wants to get rid of the baby but Theo wants to have his son. Along the weekend, Rose has a breakdown with tragic consequences."Wandering Rose" is a tedious B-movie with three characters only where nothing happens. The task of writing a summary is very difficult to be accomplished since there is nothing to tell about. Maybe the most frightening moment is when Officer Thwaites knocks on the van's door. My vote is one (awful). Title (Brazil: "O Bebê do Mal" (The Baby from Evil")
itsjustaaro_1 I bought this at the Redbox expecting some sort of demon baby wrecking havoc. If it was intended to be a psychological thriller then I certainly didn't notice it. The movie plods along like something is going to happen, but it leaves me with too many questions than having any of them answered. So is the ghost supposed to be her? Is it supposed to be a friend that died that's passing her baby onto her? Maybe her boyfriend was the devil and he passed something evil onto her? If anyone knows the answer, maybe you can clarify... because I didn't get a single thing about it. I see things of baby talk and camping out in the woods but nothing really makes a whole lot of sense. It doesn't help that the only two options in the DVD - this is from Redbx, so it's to be expected - just the trailer and the film itself. Literally no discussion or talk about what it's supposed to mean. If there's one thing I don't like about indie films like this, too much time goes into trying to be the next 'The Sixth Sense' and 'Rosemary's Baby' but they only cover half or even remotely partly half of what those movies were about. This film left me wanting more and yet deep down I felt cheated... is there some part 2? Was a bulk of the film cut out or something? I have no idea.Next time you make a movie like this, please, for the life of me, give me some clues! The bones are all here but this Halloween treat has no meat to it. I wanted candy but you gave me just the wrappers. No fair, buddy!
