Good story, Not enough for a whole film

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

Victor DiMattia is wonderful as that little lovable moppet Dennis from funny paper fame. As Dennis is brought to life, the laughs come fast and furiously in this utterly delightful comedy romp. The neighborhood is in an uproar when the tyke finds a dinosaur bone in the yard and a notorious paleontologist is dispatched to investigate. During the resulting did in the tiny dynamo's front garden, all mayhem breaks out and chaos reigns supreme. A stellar cast is uproarious and the direction couldn't be more sharp. Especially observant satire on neighborhood politics and feuds. For anyone who loves kids, dinosaurs, and life.

This movie is very underrated. First off if you're a 80s child like me this movie will take you back. Second, this movie has a lot of great intangibles. The plot is a lot cooler than one would think (a Dinosaur bone found in the front of Dennis's house).Who wouldn't want a bone found in their front yard and have all that attention. The interactions between the cast (Dennis and Mr. Wilson, Dennis and his parents) is so realistic and heart warming. This movie is better than the other Dennis the Menace movies. Plus a young Jarrett Lennon, and future X File actor James Jansen can be found here.Everyone should watch this movie!! But if you don't than watch the next Dennis the Menace movie.

Sometihing tells me that this film was a live action version of the cartoon because DIC Enterprises(the company that produced the cartoon)produced this film also and the film title in the opening credits was identical to the one in the cartoon. Wouldn't you agree? I wonder if they have this film on DVD or if they even had it in VHS circulation. I used to watch syndicated reruns on the Disney channel 15 years ago and it was played on Encore WAM! 2 years ago. I t was pretty weird that they were considering turning Dennis' neighborhood into a dinosaur amusement park after he found that dinosaur bone. There were some parts where Dennis was a little rebellious to his parents.

I taped this movie when it first aired on television. My children made me watch it every week for almost a year!! The taping quality was very bad so I was EXTREMELY happy to see it is out on video. I think this version of Dennis the Menace is the best I have ever seen. I wish I could see it on "the big screen!"
