I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

That's what the French title means. It's one of the numerous two-bit spy thrillers which were thriving in France during the cold war.Directed by Georges Lautner, with a weak cast -with the exception of Bernard lier -,a trite confused plot involving the de rigueur stolen documents, abductions, treacheries, murders, this movie 's one originality is that the action takes place in a mine for the final sequences.Bernard Blier and Georges Lautner will do a much better job in 1963 with "le septième juré".
