ReaderKenka Let's be realistic.
Protraph Lack of good storyline.
Breakinger A Brilliant Conflict
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
SlyGuy21 A great movie that focuses more on action and characters than comedy. While I would've liked to have seen more of Vegeta, Piccolo, Goku, and Krillin, the story's more focused on the bond between Gohan and Trunks. Their friendship and training really drive the story, and the action scenes are great. If you're as big a fan of the series as me, you'll love this. A fantastic start to the Android Saga, and it gets me pumped to see the rest.
John Doe This TV special tells the story of an alternate time line of what Trunk's future looks like before he had gone back into the time machine to warn Goku of his disease. All the characters are killed off trying to fight Android 17 and 18 leaving only two remaining Z Warriors left: Gohan and Trunks. The Androids show no mercy and kill everyone leaving no one spared. Trunks desperately wants to turn into a Super Saiyan but ultimately cannot do so until Gohan gets killed by Android 17 and Android 18 which pushes Trunks past his limit to go Super Saiyan. Trunks then tries his best to destroy Android 17 and Android 18 but fails. It has a lot of action in it. I give it a 8/10.
shadowwind82-1 This movie is very good . It gives details that the show only showed part of . The only reason I did not give this a 10 is because though they should have had master Roshey ( I might have spelled that wrong ) in more.
Robert S. Well, I have to say that I was impressed by FUNimation's translation of the Trunks Special. The VAs performed quite well, and the script was fairly decent. The dubbed special features a variety of musical acts, although the most disappointing music, by far, was the title sequence by Andy Baylor. The obnoxious techno track did not match the opening animation at all, and actually had me longing for "Rock the Dragon".I would recommend waiting for the bilingual DVD to come out, so that you may enjoy the special in its "true" form, but if you can't wait, then the VHS version of "The History of Trunks" should keep you happy for now.
