Kidskycom It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Sabah Hensley This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
kosmasp If you are a fan of Ving Rhames, you cannot go wrong with this I guess. But if you are not so much, he won't convince you with this movie, that he is an actor to be looking out for. And while the movie looks good (nice cinematography and set design, considering the small budget this must have had), it never really takes off.So while not entirely a bad movie, it depends on how many movies you are watching on a regular basis, to really justify you watching this. Most people won't bother from the get go (apart from the aforementioned Rhames fans) and the rest might be more than disappointed when watching this. Still nice turns (for a small independent movie) and executed well enough, not to be a complete waste (of time)
mbenedict26-2 I was lucky enough to hit the first screening in Salt Lake City last night. Richard and many of the cast and crew were in the audience. Richard did an introduction and a short Q&A after the flick. He asked for real feedback. Here's what I basically said on the form... There were a few segments of the film that seemed to drag a little bit. There were also a few awkward lines mostly spoken by folks in the film that weren't the main actors. However, In my opinion, this is a very solid horror flick. The main characters did a great job. There was some well-timed humor. There were also some decent death scenes. Not the greatest film that I've ever seen... but not even close to the worst movie I've seen (this week). Definitely worth checking out.
mike_brunton This movie has been done before a zillion times, at least it feels like it. Alien/Demon/monster/IQ form/ghost, takes over a helpless human body and wreaks havoc on all concerned. That being said, the budget was clearly above $1 million which always helps, the lead actors had some charisma (note to directors, this helps), and the dialogue was passable. The directing felt stable, but again lacking in that oomph...feeling. My only concern was the lack of originality of the main plot, to be honest, I think it would have worked better setting the whole movie in a small claustrophobic village rather than a big city, where random deaths just don't have the same impact, on the viewer in life or in a movie. I wanted to like this movie, and I am a huge fan of the horror genre so I gave this a five rating, if you are not a horror fan deduct points accordingly.
regginblack Evil Angel feels like a horror film that has been put together from other horror film story lines; imagine a ransom note made from different words that were cut from a magazine. This film was so hard to watch because it wasn't fresh, new, or exciting in any way. Richard Dutcher, the director, must be totally out of touch with reality to make a film as clichéd as this. This wasn't art or entertainment, but a sickening waste of time.I really wanted to like this film as I am from Utah and I have a friend with a small role in the film. I found myself laughing out loud or saying "REALLY?!" throughout the film. It is not a scary story. The acting is atrocious. Dutcher takes a huge leap away from his previous style of films and ends up with a hugely disappointing work of garbage. It reminds me of when I was young and I "directed" movies; It's childish like a group of small children wrote the story and then acted it out... besides all the hot naked ladies... or maybe thats also part of the childishness.
