The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

This was the legendary Stanley Kubrick's final film(he passed away literally a few days after the film's premiere). Now, is it a good film? That depends on what you are looking for. This is a work of high authority and one can see Kubrick's influence in each frame. Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman play real life couple in high society New York(completely recreated on a London soundstage). They are invited a party where sexual dealings and offerings are exchanged which leads to an altercations of sorts later at home. What follows is a ride into a rabbit hole by Cruise's character involving sex cults, orgies, identities and obsessions. The film isn't as heavy handed as it appears and the pacing is very good. Worth a watch.

Movie depicts social and personal realities about sex and relationship, Dream and reality. More then a brilliant flick. Kubrick's thinking can go beyond the imaginations. Picturisation and background sound score are just astonishing. Artists are done their job.

This is the first movie I have seen from Stanley Kubrick, and I am already impressed with him. He is able to frame shots perfectly, and the visuals put on the screen look great. He knows how to use a camera well. This movie exudes boldness and confidence.
As opposed to many movies that are commonly shown, this movie doesn't move the camera around that much. Kubrick is confident enough in his movie that he doesn't see the need in jerking around the camera to grab his viewers attention. He simply allows the movie to play out.
This is a movie that many directors would not want to make. The subject matter of the film practically demands the film to be loaded with nudity, something which makes a director as bold as Kubrick the only logical choice. I was actually shocked at the amount of nudity in this film, and it isn't the first time I have seen nudity either. The fact that he was willing to sow everything he did just goes to show how bold he is as a director.
Where this film falls short, however, is in the pacing. This movie is over two and a half hours long and it feels it. It makes this movie very hard to sit through, and I don't think I would sit through it again. While this movie is bold, and it did earn Stanley Kubrick my respect, I don't envision myself watching this movie again in the future.
