Reviews

WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
Adeel Hail Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
Blake Rivera If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.
Phillida Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
dbdumonteil Jean Boyer made lots of comedies, some of which are quite successful ("circonstances Atténuantes " is his best);he directed Fernandel in several estimable works ,the best of which is certainly 'Senechal Le Magnifique".As for this movie, there are some good gags : Fernandel plunging the thermometer in a cup of hot coffee to make his temperature rise;the recording voice on the phone ;the scratched record;the ashtray;the model ,dating her boss Fernandel cause she believes (received idea)that all couturiers are gay (the word is not uttered in the movie )and thus will get away unharmed;anyway in 1939,in "Circonstances Atténuantes" there was a gay character -who ended married with children, probably not to hurt the audience's feelings);the fashion show ,which shows how Boyer could have been greater if he had been more demanding and had had a little more madness.Fernandel was ably assisted by exuberant Suzy Delair, the star of two Clouzot classics ("L'Assassin Habite Au 21" and "Quai Des Orfevres")
