2freensel I saw this movie before reading any reviews, and I thought it was very funny. I was very surprised to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews this film received from critics.
DipitySkillful an ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.
Melanie Bouvet The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Ginger Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
Christmas-Reviewer BEWARE OF FALSE REVIEWS & REVIEWERS. SOME REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY ONE REVIEW TO THEIR NAME. NOW WHEN ITS A POSITIVE REVIEW THAT TELLS ME THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH THE MOVIE. IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW THEN THEY MIGHT HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THE FILM . NOW I HAVE REVIEWED OVER 300 HOLIDAY FILMS & SPECIALS. I HAVE NO AGENDA.This is a nice film that is so unexpectedly good. In this film When Mrs. Claus (Mira Sorvino) feels neglected by her less than attentive husband (Will Sasso), she goes to Las Vegas to help a little girl with her Christmas wish. But when Santa finds out and follows her to Sin City to make amends, he puts Christmas at risk when things don't go quite as he planned. This is well worth watching
wes-connors In lusty Las Vegas, gorgeous blonde Laura Vandervoort (as Noelle Jenkins) takes her cute little daughter to see Santa Claus. The red-suited, white-bearded man would rather have Ms. Vandervoort sit on his lap. Street-wise little Aislyn Watson (as Hope) doesn't give her mother's phone number to the "fake" Santa, saying, "You can do so much better." Turns out she can, if handsome blond bartender Andrew Walker (as Myles Harper) ever decides to settle down with one woman. Meanwhile in the great white north, "real" Santa's wife Mira Sorvino (as Jessica Claus) is cooking dinner for her husband, who is busy during the Christmas season. After 500 years of marriage, things have gone cold at the North Pole. "There was a time that he couldn't stay away from my dumplings," laments Mrs. Claus, "now, he barely touches them." Figuring stocky Will Sasso (as Kris Claus) won't miss her, Vandervoort leaves home to answer little Aislyn's "letter to Santa" in person. The Christmas holiday is threatened when Santa sets out to find Mrs. Claus in Las Vegas. All of this ends up quite ordinarily, but the mildly naughty humor is nice.***** Finding Mrs. Claus (12/2/12) Mark Jean ~ Mira Sorvino, Laura Vandervoort, Andrew Walker, Will Sasso
story_by_corey I have to admit that when I read the summary, I expected the formula Lifetime Channel Christmas movie.......meaning the movie seems like it lasts a lifetime. But, its a really fun movie to watch. The storyline moves along at a rapid clip. There are lots of side gags, prop gags, Santa and even married life jokes to keep you laughing. The actors all play their roles over-the-top and it somehow pulls everything together. And speaking of the cast, this is one of those movies where it was perfectly cast. There was a chemistry between the actors that enables their characters to play off of each other to give the movie a farcical aura. Had they used any other combination of actors, this movie would not have worked very well. Its not a classic comedy like National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation nor is it something you will likely watch more than a couple times. But, its an enjoyable way to spend a couple hours and a must see for this season's crop of Christmas movies.
