Excellent, smart action film.

It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

GIRLS AGAINST BOYS is another cheap revenge picture with a battle-of-the-sexes slant. It feels very much like a cheap I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE remake and even features an actor or two who appeared in one of those films, I can't remember which. This one seems to have even less plot than usual and is merely a string of set-pieces of the main two characters going around and butchering unsuspecting blokes, some of them deserving, some of them not.I find films like this one almost entirely devoid of merit. The cheap digital look of the production is almost anti-cinematic and an example of everything I DON'T want to see in a film. The acting is generally weak and exaggerated and the violence brief and not very shocking. The subject matter is distasteful but the approach is so lame that none of it is possible to take seriously.

What a devilishly delightful film this turned out to be...This movie could be placed under the category of "rape & revenge" stories...Which it is to a point...But this film is so much more than that...I would say that this film is a combination of "I Spit On Your Grave" with NONE of the graphic and disturbing rape scenes..."Raising Cain" with duel personalities instead of multiples...With a touch of "Fight Club" hints throughout the duration of the film....At least that's how I saw it...Danielle Panabaker is a highly intellectual young Hollywood talented actress with impeccable credentials in show business...It was quite an audacious move for her to take on a film like this...Her performance in Mr. Brooks as his daughter would have more than likely led to her character becoming more dark and intense...Unfortunately the less than stellar box office results for Mr. Brooks probably means there will be no sequel...But that's alright, because as far as I am concerned...This film is the unofficial prequel to Mister Brooks...This could be the story of what happened to Jane Brooks while she was away at college before going home to her serial killer Father...Nicole LaLiberte was also wonderful in this movie...Nicole LaLiberte is to Danielle Panabaker what Brad Pitt was to Edward Norton in Fight Club...Only Nicole was darker...Much, much darker...This film will stand the test of time and develop a cult following...That is if it hasn't already...This is a powerful...Mind bending...And Sexy thrill ride from start to finish...And that's all there is too it...

Caught this by accident on late night cable, which is exactly where it belongs. I stopped watching after the third murder
the first was completely despicable involving a police officer being shot in the ass. Anyone who finds this kind of revenge/murder flick enjoyable, let alone wrote or directed it should get to a therapist
and quick. The females kill indiscriminately, call men "fags" and may be the two most disgusting characters put on film if you discount several documentaries about Nazis. I nearly watched it all just to see if the two women meet a deservedly grizzly end, but thought better of it, when I realized the writer and director most likely intended to let them get away with it, which would have just ruined what was left of my night. An utter piece of crap.

it seems that nearly EVERYONE missed the point of this movie.LU was not real. she was Shae's shadow, her through the looking glass other self. there was even a poster there, in the penultimate scene, with the word ALICE, seen through the looking glass. Shae had worked through her revenge fantasies, and learnt that it did not make her feel better. she had learnt that that the thirst for revenge prevented her forming new relationships and she had defeated her own desires for it.the final scene showed that Lu was part of Shae explicitly - with Lu smoking in the background ( beyond the wall) as Shae sits on the stairwell.all that aside, what a great movie. love the acting, the cinematography and the well synced soundtrack. a great great movie
