Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
OohLaLlama This film is, without doubt, the biggest crock of crap I've ever seen. It's pathetic, honestly. Does a prison in the UK even exist like this??! The acting is REALLY bad and the plot just unbelievable to the point of ridiculousnessI only carried on as I watching it with my son
cheycharlesworth Am sorry but this has to to be the worst sequel ever; so far detached from the original film its unreal. Only 1 member of original cast actually in this film who tries to save the film but to no avail. Trying to cash in on the football hooligan film craze but failing miserably; Some of the acting was dire and as for Marina Sirtis who is on the whole not a bad actress, her role in this was terrible As was her acting and accent. I dread to think what the budget was and who had the bright idea to release this. OK Green Street was never going to win awards but this sequel? Makes you wonder if a quick quid was more important than the actual film. Nearly 2 hours of my life I won't get back Watch at your own peril
Destroyer Wod Are you looking at a masterpiece you will remember for years to come? No. Are you looking at Oscar winning acting? Certainly not. Are you looking for a B-movie on a Saturday night with a couple of beers and a boll of chips? Ah yes? Then this movie is for you. Its nothing spectacular in term of script of acting, even the french dubbed version(i am in Quebec) is surely not one of the best i heard, but yet its a good action movie, it does incorporate some stuff from the previous movie, enough to convince us its a sequel. I wish the 2 main guys where showed in the first movie, cause except Dave and Big Marc(who, as a different actor, had a small role in the first movie) they are not characters from the original. But still there was tons of supporters in the first movie will small parts, so you can say its 2 of them. The whole violence in the movie seem pretty real, with blood, and the fights are not spectacular in the sense of a martial arts movie, but they are convincing as real beat downs. And I'm sorry i never been to jail, either in America or UK, so i can't make a difference between a USA or UK prison... That was my second watching of that movie today, first being one year ago before i saw number 1(not released in french DVD, had to buy the English version) and this one right after i saw number 1, and i say i enjoyed the movie as much as the last time. I own the DVD, so i will certainly re watch it in the future. This is clearly not a bad movie as the other review try to convince people it is.
jmuss99 Great earlier quote: "the market for this is restricted to those who simply enjoy watching people getting beaten up, but is devoid of any other merit." I laughed out loud. I had the misfortune of finding this film last evening. Having never been personally exposed to the American or English penal systems, I wasn't so much put off by the location of the film as the substance of it (or lack, thereof). It was a formula prison flick, nothing more. And I've seen Ross McColl in other films and don't remember him being so horrible. His voice was so grating I was drawn to continue watching. It had a nasal squeakiness to it that was mesmerizing. This was supposed to be the film's "tough guy"? Even worse than his voice was his physique. Sunken chest and pot belly. If anyone loses a fight to this guy they should be arrested! My lord. He must've been all the budget could afford. And let's not forget Marina Sirtis. When I last saw her she was drop dead gorgeous. WHAT, on Earth, has happened to her? I know this was a film role, but I honestly did not recognize her. Time has been so cruel. In sum, the budget for this film should've been donated to a local charity.
