Laikals The greatest movie ever made..!
Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Manthast Absolutely amazing
Maidexpl Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
paulnielson-99173 Just finished this low budget supernatural thriller. British friends together for a party decide to play around with a Ouija board. A familiar setup. Mayhem ensues. Flat script, poor acting. Some of the special effects were cheesy and at times made little sense. I appreciate how difficult it is to make a compelling film in the horror genre. Filming in the close quarters of a British flat is a particular challenge. I saw no redeeming qualities in this film, and no particular innovation achieved. Overall, I was disappointed, underwhelmed, and relieved to see the closing credits.
a_baron This is yet another ultra low budget offering from this age of manufactured austerity, the entire film takes place in one house, much of it in one room of that house, and but for the necessary special effects it could have been filmed as a play, but somehow "Greetings" manages to deliver.A small group of friends are having a party, for one thing, one of them has a birthday. Then out comes the ouija board. We've seen this sort of thing before, of course, and at first they are suspicious of each other, playing tricks with the glass and with the writing on the bathroom mirror, but it isn't long before they realise it isn't one of their number playing tricks but some ectoplasmic entity that doesn't have any kind of sense of humour. Even worse, while two of the men decide to turn in for the night, the others are left to battle it out with this whatever it is, and whatever it is, it doesn't like the name of the Great JC. Will this thing be revealed? Will the friends triumph over evil? Watch it and find out.
Bloodmarsh Krackoon I've been known to criticize horror films due to lack of character development.Well, 'Greetings' gives us every thing we could ask for and more in that department. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing about the film - the horror/suspense is nonexistent, thanks to the surroundings, or lack thereof. The surroundings are entirely way too closed in, and the boogeyman here, is the true definition of low budget. Our not so friendly visitor is borderline NO budget, actually. And the way of dealing with IT, is beyond ridiculous. Probably the most ridiculous solution in a horror film I've seen in a long long time.Random Ramblings of a Madman: 'Greetings' starts off entirely way too slow for most horror fans, and while intellect is a nice thing to see/hear from your cast, you really have to have a solid villain to fall back on, to make up for what fans in 2014 desire most - breasts, stupidity, and more breasts. You can tell the director of 'Greetings' has long reached middle age, and his way of doing/seeing things, just won't cut it in todays film. If he ever invests in an imagination, he could put something out worth watching.
ablebravo What an unusual film. Just ran across it on a free movie site at the recommendation of a friend. I'm usually not one for the mega-low budget indy film but this one was sufficiently compelling to keep me at least moderately interested. Although I was tempted to hit the FF button once or twice, I didn't. The film takes kind of a long time getting started and although doesn't have a lot of gore or other major CGI or wirework stunts (It takes place completely within a small apartment) there is a neat and increasingly menacing atmosphere built by the filmmaker. Like I said, an odd little film but I liked it.My big complaint with this film is the very poorly-recorded dialog. The cast were speaking fairly fast and naturally and it being a British film, with a distinct British accent. To this American, the muddled dialog track made it impossible for me to make out about 30% of what was said.Meh. Not terrible not incredible. Not bad. I don't regret the 71 minutes I spent on it. 45/100
