Murphy Howard I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Hayleigh Joseph This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.
Yazmin Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
Leofwine_draca I had to laugh at the other reviewer's comments on this film. It really is a dog of a movie and by far the worst thing I've seen Eric Roberts put his name to, although a glance at his recent cast list shows that perhaps he isn't done with the terrible films just yet. He plays Count Dracula, the host of a killer reality TV game show, and his performance consists of cut-away ham acting and mugging for the camera. The story is about six contestants who have to spend one night in a room with a demon, which is mildly cool-looking and traditional. Said demon shows up to murder them occasionally in sloppy gore scenes. There's a psychological aspect to the story but it's not enough to make any of this remotely interesting. The whole thing is laughable and not in a good way, and the actors don't even bother. The running time is padded out with teasing strip scenes but no nudity, lame comedy, and a general air of aimlessness.
dcarsonhagy Great Gertie's Nightgown, Eric Roberts is at it again. He supposedly plays Count Dracula who hosts some type of reality television series known as Halloween Hell. It seems (for whatever reason) some teens found a doll carved out of lava straight from hell, were all flayed by a demon (in some form or fashion), and then this turd was birthed. Fast forward to the present and it seems someone(?) has now given this premise a green light, so it can be produced as reality television. The winner, i.e. the survivor(s) of the night will claim/split a $100,000 prize. I found it more than exasperating that when the murders of these contestants aired over television, there was absolutely NO reaction by the public--no cops, no calls to the "television" studio, no nothing. The six brain-dead goobers cast as the participants lacked an opposable thumb between them. There were no characters, only caricatures. Eric Roberts should be ashamed of himself. I do not expect him to consistently appear in top-notch Hollywood films, but even this is a step WAY down from what he usually is in. His attempt, albeit a pitiful one, at playing Dracula has him constantly mugging for the camera and adding comments, e.g. "Wow," "That's gotta hurt," and "That's awful." No, Eric, the only thing awful in this movie was you. He has the screen presence of a turnip.Rated "R" and not recommended.
