It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Morissa O'Mara is the title character and she and her sister in real life and on screen Alana O'Mara get to spend summer with their dad Luke Perry on his horse ranch. They're city kids like their mother Moira Squier and Luke's love of the country is part of what separated them. But he's due his turn at custody. What the two girls don't know is that this will lead them on a nice adventure involving a treasure map that one of them finds. The O'Mara sisters along with Daniel Benson go off on an exploring trip in some rough terrain. Also playing a game of hide and seek are fugitives Boyd Kestner and Daniel Horton. They're hiding from the law and seeking the treasure as well with the same map. Their problem is that they are city guys and less equipped for the country than the girls are.Elements of danger and humor are mixed nicely in Hanna's Gold. Best in the cast is Daniel Horton who really should have never taken up a life of crime. As that 20th century philosopher Harry Callahan said, 'man's got to know his limitations'.Hanna's Gold is a nice family film to rent for the young ones.

When I was a kid I would always hide little treasures and then make maps for my friends to follow to find them. Hanna's Gold brought back those memories and really reminded me of the spirit of adventure that we all have when we are young. I have't seen these two girls before in movies but I think they are sisters- like a less offensive version of the Olsen twins.Overall it's hard to find movies that my kids and I can watch together, especially in this day and age where everything seems so violent. We watched Hanna's Gold this weekend and we can't stop referencing it. The story was well told and compelling and it had a great message for young girls. Plus Dan Benson and Luke Perry were really good in this film!
