A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

All that we are seeing on the screen is happening with real people, real action sequences in the background, forcing the eye to watch as if we were there.

Two years ago a guy convinced me to finally watch the ridiculously titled movie 'Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter'. I was glad I finally watched it. (As an aside, it was supposed to be a freebie movie in some DVD review mag I was buying in 2001 or 2002, but my copy of the mag contained the US version of the DVD instead of the Canadian version and had a 'Species' DVD instead...grrr.) This 'movie' clocks in around 30 minutes and NEVER takes itself seriously. Bananas, robozombies, Mexican wrestler super spies (teaching youngsters how to wrestle on the beach), double crossing women, and fight scenes to ridiculous to believe...all make this a funny enjoyable flick.Don't expect 'The Matrix' style pizazz or effects. Don't expect Jackie Chan fight scenes. Just enjoy the low budget goodness that is Hairy Knuckles.

My biggest qualm about this movie is that it is just a 'short'. As it is, it qualifies as an eetsie-weetsie gem.'Harry Knuckles' is a kitchen sink comedy that alternates between parody and pastiche of various B-movie genres, such as kung fu flicks, zombie movies, and third-rate Bond wannabes.Throw in a fresh approach to banana jokes, and you've got a winner. Lee Demarbre directs, doing justice to an inventive script by Ian Driscoll.

Harry Knuckles, aka Spanish fly, is groovalicious crime fighter and with his pal Santo they clean up some zombie scum. Very fun short with a great soundtrack and look. GOODTIMES ALLAROUND!

It's horrible, absolutely horrible, and it's *supposed* to be. It's a rip-off of every bad Spanish, gangster, B, monster, kung-fu-fighting movie you've ever seen. It's hilarious, and it'll never, ever be in a video store near you. Too bad.
