I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

It was nice to see Lance Henriksen here, as I have the world of respect for him. He is well cast as The Host. Unfortunately most of the younger stars are not very convincing in their roles, with the exception maybe being Christopher Jacot. They just don't act the way people would under the circumstances. As for Katheryn Winnick, my goodness, what's with that screeching voice? Sorry to say this, my darling, but you'll never be a scream queen! The dialogue is incredibly insensitive and very plain, actually. A lot is not understood until the twist ending. The film is not scary. It wasn't exciting. It wasn't anything really...not until things turn clearer towards the end. It was an ok entry in the series, but what happened to the iconic Hellraiser chains?? Pinhead also only makes guest appearances.

This is NOT a good Hellraiser FILM, it only has the Hellraiser name slapped on it along with Cenobites thrown in to make it a HELLRAISER FILM and when watching this film I noticed that this was your typical 2000s "Straight to the K-mart 2 dollar bin* Garbage, Terrible, Terrible, Terrible.... IMDb won't let me give it a 0 out of 10. Just 1.

Five teenagers hooked on Hellworld, an internet game based on the horrific world of the Cenobites, are invited to an exclusive rave party for avid fans of all things Pinhead, where their host, played by Lance Henriksen, has 'such sights to show them', pitching them into a nightmare world where they come face-to-face with their darkest fears.Doug Bradley continues to pay the bills as Pinhead in yet another lousy Hellraiser sequel. Hellworld proves to be even worse than the previous films by cheating the audience with a ridiculous plot that reveals the appearance of the Cenobites to be the result of a hallucinogenic drug slipped to the teenage victims by the host, who is seeking revenge for the death of his son. With the exception of the final scene, every time Pinhead and his pals appear, it's in someone's imagination. The insulting script is a complete mess, the direction is uninspired, the acting is poor (even Lance Henriksen is bad), and virtually all of the characters are unlikeable. The film's few pathetic gore effects fail to impress, and although there is some gratuitous sex and nudity in an attempt to prevent total boredom, gorgeous star Katheryn Winnick fails to join in, which only serves to make the film even more of a disappointment.

Don't why but I blame Halloween: Resurrection (2002) for this , I hated that so much, yet this is not as bad that but it that far be hide it all. Most of the movie I just had Halloween 8 all over again. I thought last was really bad but this one even worse one in the whole series (No I won't counting in the Revelations as not going bother with it all )Gamers playing a MMORPG based on the "Hellraiser" franchise find their lives endangered after being invited to a rave whose host intends to show them the truth behind the Cenobite mythos.I found first half of hour of movie was just a waste of time, were nothing really happens, I Don't mind slow start, at least give us something to chew on for a bit but nothing. Then the teens are getting killed in this movie , some of the death scene are bloody but in a way they looked really cheap.the effect were not that good at all, However did seem have a bit more bloody moment in this movie then last few sequels (Which dose not make good Hellrasier movie)The acting ( If you can call it that) from all teens. they were do dame annoying. i was fast forward some parts of the movie, voice started get on nerve. And the twist was was utter rubbish, its so predicable from the first moment the movie startedThe bland twist kind fitted in well with rest of the movie which was very bland indeed.1 out of 10
