Synopsis

Diane Blaine has the face of a movie star. Unfortunately, fallen star/tabloid queen Jamie Stephens already made it famous. Hollywoods constant rejection due to what Diane refers to as "TJS" ("Too Jamie Stephens") has made her bitter, frustrated....and, yes, whiny. Co-worker/boyfriend Jack Sanders doesn't help matters. His idea of ambition is letting it ride. Now he's in major debt to a trigger-happy mobster who, interestingly enough, has a thing for Jamie Stephens. Jack's only way out? Convince Diane to be Jamie and wipe out the debt having one meal with a made man. It's literally the performance of her life. With Jack's on the line.

LouHomey From my favorite movies..
TaryBiggBall It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
Bluebell Alcock Ok... Let's be honest. It cannot be the best movie but is quite enjoyable. The movie has the potential to develop a great plot for future movies
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Michael Ledo The Amazon write up pretty much tells the basic unrealistic plot, which is immaterial to the comedy. Nicky Whelan, the only real bright spot of the film, plays Jamie Stephens / Diane Blaine. Diane is attempting to break into the film industry but looks too much like Jamie Stephens to get cast. Along with her jealous boyfriend Jack (Chris Kattan) they work at a restaurant which has a new owner, Jean Luc Marceau (Jeremy London). London plays the role like Brendan Frasier with a bad accent. Diane used to pose nude for Jean Luc when she was in Paris. The movie takes some even more unrealistic turns when the mafia gets involved.David Spade plays a talk show host, providing us with some early humor. The movie was not well scripted. It managed humorous scenes, such as Diane's junk food binge, but not laugh out loud funny. At times the humor sunk to low levels, although we have seen worse. Collen Camp adds to her outlandish roles.F-bomb, brief sex, sex talk, nudity (Josie Goldberg, Tabitha Taylor, Meriah Nelson, Jessica McClain, Kristeen Reimnitz, Lexi Baxter, Nicole Oring)
sandcrab277 Too much budget wasted on useless performances by a cast of many losers like chris kattan, david spade and norman mcdonald to name a few....trying to be funny is a far cry from actually being funny which is why this film is a disaster...the eye candy was thrown in to keep you from getting bored along with the sexual innuendos and language that caused this film to have an r rating...using nudity tastefully could have done it better...
businessgypsy Stuck in Antwerp on a rainy day when this film appeared, oddly, on the Prime Network "family" channel. While absolutely not kid friendly, I found this film a well paced recreation of classic screwball comedies, from Bringing Up Baby to The Owl and the Pussycat.Surprising cast, clever cameos. All the female eye candy is smart and tough, not victimized and in need of rescue. Nicky Whelan is my new favorite as the pragmatic Diane Blaine. Norm MacDonald's character Sid delivers a classic running deadpan joke that rivals "The Aristocrats" for filth and fun. Not high art, but a real good time that doesn't patronize or front.I'd be surprised if something in this movie didn't offend you, but more surprised if it didn't simultaneously make you laugh. A bit of an inside joke for those of us who have lived in or around Hollywood and are familiar with the weird business of getting entertainment work, but not so much that other viewers will mind. If you have a couple of hours to have some harmless (but decidedly adult) fun, check out Hollywood and Wine.
jcmf27 i was hoping that this movie cheer me up a little bit but oh my god, don't waste your time on this when are hundreds of really funny movies out there i cant remember a single laugh or a really funny moment this is the only review here and probably the only one i hope they stop making this kind of movies like this especially with a cast that have some better ones in the past. maybe was the plot, not a interesting story. watch it, if you want to agree with me and add your own conclusions I'm a fan of spade but he was only like 3 minutes on it, i didn't stop the movie just to write this and prevent you, i hope someone agree with me on this one..
