The story is an unusual one and covers a time period that was critically important when Lithuania was fighting to restore its independence. While politicians did their thing, a bunch of rockers took off in a bus to tour the country and make music. The difference was, that they had a message that was understood by not only the young, but by the older generation as well. Their cross country journey served to bring together an entire country in its unconventional approach. Were they off the wall crazy? Some of the things they did certainly made them seem so, however, they were quite focused and inflamed masses and masses of Lithuanians to finally let loose and go for freedom in a big way - through music. The movie uses interviews intertwined with Soviet documentary footage that in some places makes you bust a gut laughing. Good story, good directing, good editing and a great film with a highly entertaining cast of characters who formed a civic foundation for a real nation to reemerge. Enjoy every bit of this clever and creative film. You'll want to watch it again as soon as you've finished to try to absorb all of the layers. It is a film to be enjoyed more than once.
