Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

Maybe not quite as good as the original, but still a lot of fun and just as well as they appear to be setting up a franchise (another one). It looks great of course, it's well written, lots of snappy action. The comedy is quite quirky though, aimed as much if not more so at the adults than the kids. Disney are clearly putting their moral stamp on things, equally opportunities, digital dependence, accepting all cultures, but hey that's all very good and it's delivered well. Certainly our kids got the message and were happy to explain it to me as the credits rolled. They also laughed uncontrollably at Jack-Jacks antics, we all did! Not quite Pixar at its very best, but very very close!

My expectations weren't high, given the success of The Incredibles. Watched the previews, read some spoilers, and got very excited. Took the whole family (kids from 9 to 17) and WE ALL loved it. It was amazing! Loved the development of Jack Jack, growth of the other two kids, and feature role for Elastigirl. Looking forward to episode-3.

Well, the animation is of course top notch and all, and it's a sequel so I can understand certain necessary plot points but come on...my 7 year old was most of the time either overwhelmed by too many things happening at the same time, or scared because of the overall too dark and scary parts. It seems the only thing Pixar forgot about in this movie is that it should be a kid flick....the plot, the setting, the music, the jokes and everything in this movie is too much for adults rather than for kids, lacking essential childish creativity and fun, which is a shame given that the first Incredibles was one of the funniest and witties of all of Pixars great movies.

And by development, I just mean new powers. The Incredibles family were just dropped into a script. None of any of film's characters' core beliefs, including the villain, are tested or evolve over the course of the film. Sequels need to either double down on our known characters, or introduce fresh new ones to fall in love with, and this film did neither. However, the action and comedy are extremely fun! A good fight will easily make me want to re-watch a film, but I'm not sure sitting through the dull parts around the scenes that I do like is worth the trouble. I can only rate films an 8 or above if I'd gladly re-watch it solo on my own time, but this only gets a 7 because I'd probably only watch it again at home with the family if they put it on TV.
