shantiq Beautifully made. Tough to watch. Wanted to stop watching every five minutes for the first hour but couldnt. And did not. Touches a societal nerve. A personal one. Why do we post? What do we want? She is sick. But are we not all a bit sick too? This film will not go away. Watch it. You have been warned. You will never approach social media in the same way again.

Floated2 Ingrid Goes West is another comedy/drama lead by Aubrey Plaza. It's unfortuanate that many of her leading roles are flopping at the box office despite her strong performances and her being praised by critics. This film, she plays her trypical character and it works as usual.This film feels as if it should have been bigger, as it would appeal to many young people and their love and interest for coming of age films around social media.Ingrid Goes West is constantly moving and interesting at each point, due to the performance and strong directing. It shows how social media can be a disease and that there really are people like the character Aubrey Plaza played in the film in today's day. The film makes sure to not go over board and as expected a dark turn within the final act occurs, as it should keeping the film intriguing.The ending is quite real and shows how much of an impact social media can have upon people in general. Highly recommend this film

swurly2008 If you didn't like this movie you just don't get comedy. Period. No need to come bash the movie because you didn't get it. You weren't it's target audience and had no business watching it from the beginning. God forbid a comedy shake up your perception of the world, or make you feel uncomfortable in your 'safe space'. Go watch whatever bland, middle of the road comedy that everyone is quoting these days.
