I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

The first movie "Hora" ("The Whore") was a mediocre movie, but still enjoyable enough to actually watch. Then this movie comes along and most definitely proves that something stinky sure rolls downhill. This is supposed to be some kind of documentary about what happened during the creation of the first film that Reinert Kiil did, but strange things are happening upon the set.Yeah, right, this was as bad as it gets, or at least close there by. The movie, and I use the term movie very abstract here, was so strange and bizarre that it was actually possible to sit through it all just to see what happens next. But if you look at this from a bigger scale, then it was all low budget and most definitely not worth the time or effort. And for people who enjoyed the first movie, I suspect they will be sorely disappointed with this one.The acting in the movie, well it was as to be expected. So don't get your hopes up. And the same could be said for the special effects. For those in the audience (like me) who can understand Norwegian, there is some nice treats throughout the movie, especially during the more brutal scenes, as the subtitles doesn't even match what is actually being said. The subtitles in these cases are toned down as to what is actually being said, and also the subtitles have a whole other meaning as to what is being said on camera. The only thing impressive about this movie is how many times Reinert Kiil manages to fit in his own name in the credits. It was just ludicrous, and had to be a spoof. If you are looking to be entertained by Norwegian cinema, I strongly suggest that you pick up another title, perhaps "Thale"? Because this movie was a waste of time.

Reinert Kiil, the director of Hora (2009) decided to make this flick a trilogy and let Inside The Whore be the mockumentary about the making of Hora. Due the unexpected success of Hora especially for a flick from Norway were they don't have any money from the government to make movies this is a bit of a action against the system. That's easy to spot in the beginning and the end. But we are left with the flick between the beginning and the end. The beginning was already a big surprise. A girl dancing naked, but when the lights go on we see her naked on stage of a cinema were Inside The Whore will be shown. But the surprise was how the girl was filmed when the lights go on. A close up of her butt and her vagina. And it stays in close up for a few seconds. But then we move over to the mockumentary and that part was really boring. You can see them on set and having parties and teasing each other to have sex. Here and there we see a boob and some blood but overall it annoyed me. Once the lights go on again at the theatre we move back to the distributors. And it's here that Reinert makes a statement, again with a girl full frontal with a gun. I guess they had a lot of fun with all those tattooed chicks on set but for the viewer it really took too long. I liked the beginning, pussy galore and the ending but the flick itself wasn't really good. Here and there you will have a laugh and the gore added is one of the cheap kind. Hora addicts will surely want this in their collection. Can't think what Hora 2 will bring us.Gore 1/5 Nudity 4/5 Effects 2/5 Story 1/5 Comedy 0/5

After watching The Whore I could not wait for the sequel, as it would be on a bigger budget and much more original than the first one.I was not sure what to expect when I was going to watch it, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by Renert Kiil's new film. It was very original and innovative mixing reality and horror... It was somehow impressive. The only thing I actually did expect were much more violence, gore and brutality. But Kiil played more on the psychological than the physical horror in this film, And this was not a bad thing. But of course there is gore, And the gore effects are pretty good, and realistic, witch is important in this kind of "Meta-action" / "Mockumentary".Anyways, I was not disappointed at this film the only thing I can really complain about is that now and then. At certain points, the film gets a little boring and nothing happens. And now on to the DVD, from Another World Entertainment in Norway, it had lot of great extras and a nice booklet/comic book inside. And to all of you that does not understand a single word Norwegian and are going to buy this copy, Just so you know "Kiil Productions" have tampered with the subtitles so when maybe someone actually say: "Go away" the subtitles read: "Fuck me!" for example. (In all the languages available) And this is very funny, especially for those who understands Norwegian. But don't worry, these few subtitles that are tempered with are not really important to the plot or anything. This film lands on 8 stars with me. Can't wait for the next installment... "What whores around, comes around"

During BUT film festival 2012, I got the pleasure to see the world premiere of Inside the Whore. This is the sequel to Hora (2009) of the Norwegian Reinert Kill. I liked Hora very well. The best was probably that it was a film that took serious exploitation genre and although there was a slim budget but it may have cost a few million. Seeing Inside the Whore I thought that we will be served the same as the previous. A pure rape revenge sequel, with higher violent scenes and grotesque images. But there I was completely wrong! The film is more on the psychological. I think the film would have reached even higher for me if I understood everything in the Norwegian political expression being delivered with humor in the film. But despite that there were several times I hung with the humor as the movie went in to deeper Norwegian politics of movie making. the Director presented as a reality portion of the film. It was shown shot with multiple cameras and much of the film is shot behind the film. So there are several layers of meta-universe of the movie in the movie which is in several layers of film in it you just get presented before you dig really deep into some more meta. When you finish the meta universe you are watching the film that the director tricked you to watch. Can highly recommend this movie for anyone who did not like Hora. For this is truly a new film genre created. If you see the movie as a unit you will see it is actually better than a sequel. I did not think off Hora when I saw it, but when I think in retrospect that it's a sequel film that makes it less strong, I think. So the biggest drawback of the film is that there is a follow up to Hora, on my part. But again, I enjoyed Hora so with it so I think maybe it got me to take the trip to see the world premiere.Kill is also a very exciting director who uses clear reference from directors like Tarrantino, Raimi, Jackson, Craven, Bergman and Paul Thomas Anderson. I hope we can see a movie of Kill that is a bit more standard horror. Because I think he is the man who can create what we had at 70-80 century-of horror. I got the poster of the film signed by the cast and director. And the poster is the coolest poster ever. Yes! Inside the Whore is the winner over my favorites before like: machete and Hobo with a shot gun!
