Pluskylang Great Film overall
Manthast Absolutely amazing
ChicDragon It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
Cissy Évelyne It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
dbborroughs Let me get this out at the start, this movie is absolutely one of the worst films I've ever seen. Maybe its a poorly written English script or poor editing, but this film is awful, its terrible, and if your in the mood to make fun of a movie its one of the best targets you can find.Yes boys and girls, this is another of those its so bad its good films. The plot has a once mighty fighter getting out of prison. Years before he had killed someone and was sent away. We see in flashbacks that he also raped and blinded the daughter of his teacher and did all sorts of other nasty things. The flashback is so badly done its not clear until well after it happens that we were watching a flashback. The man's criminal friends still want to use him even though he has sworn never to fight again, preferring to wallow in self pity while trying to make it up to his sainted silver haired mother and wife, who's become a hooker out of shame. Thats just the first twenty minutes, there are another eighty to go. It makes my brain scream at the thought of telling you more. The fight scenes are beyond laughable. Punches that don't land send people to the ground, throwing stars that fly past a target cut off arms and hands, blow gun darts that drop six inches from the user are suddenly buried in the face of a victim who is holding them in place. Its a howl. The over done script is bloated with false sentiment and over done emotion. You'll stare in disbelief at the badness of it all...And if you have someone to riff with this film is a great film. Its a shame that Mystery Science Theater 3000 ended before it could send up this drek-fest.If you love bad movies see this. If you don't, run as far and as fast as you can from this bomb of a film.
Daniel Kahn Nelson (PNelson698) DANIEL MANIA! COMMENTI for one thought this film was ok but some to the concepts were completely silly. First of all I would have thrown out the whole kung fu animal power idea and gone with a more stylized martial art choreography. I also would have played the mexican music during the fight scenes and changed the looks of the main character to add a more spicy appeal to the film. I would have also showed the nude sword torcher scene during the final battle in the cave. All in All this could have been a hundred times better so I give it a 7/10 for concept.P.S.- Let this be a warning to the director and writter of this film that the choreography in a martial arts film can make or break it!!!!!!Daniel K.
