ThiefHott Too much of everything
Actuakers One of my all time favorites.
Sharkflei Your blood may run cold, but you now find yourself pinioned to the story.
Jemima It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
Michael_Elliott Jason Lives: The Making of Friday the 13th Part VI (2009)*** 1/2 (out of 4)Director Tom McLaughlin is joined by Bob Larkin, Nancy McLoughlin, David Kagen, Gabe Bartalos and Chris Biggs as they talk about bringing Jason back to life after the disastrous and fan hated previous film. McLaughlin starts off by saying that he had only seen the first film in the series so he actually went to Paramount and watched all five films together and after wards thought the only thing to do going forward was to add some humor to the film. The director also talks about wanting the viewer to feel as if they were watching a Universal horror film from the 30s and how he's somewhat morally against slasher movies that do nothing but show death. Both Baralos and Biggs worked on the special effects and they talk about some of the work they did and mention a few scenes that the MPAA got a hold of including the three decapitations sequence. Baralos also shows the process he used to come up with Jason's mask. Fans of the film are certainly going to enjoy these interviews as it really gives you a great behind-the-scenes look at what it took to get the film on video and to get it released. It's clear that everyone involved can look back and be happy that they managed to make something rather special and something that fans love as well as people who don't normally care for this type of film.
