Teringer An Exercise In Nonsense
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Married Baby Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
Hattie I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
omer_merdzanic This is best king Kong movie, ever. After 13 years this movie looks really good.
George Taylor After his success with the Lord of the Rings, Jackson (like Martin with his endless Game of thrones books) needs to hire an editor. I'm also thinking his success with LOTR was a fluke since his version of this and the Hobbit, both suck. This is miscast, overlong and overdone. By the time the crew reaches Skull Island in this, the original, superior movie is OVER. Not every movie has to be three hours long. Also, if it's the middle of January, how is the heroine running around in NYC in a shift? He tried and failed to make a classic. STOP REMAKES!
Miss Anime I don't understand the heroine desperately wanting to run away from king kong causing the loss of many human lives then wanting to return back to it!
Ross Hall King Kong is a beautiful, nuanced film that has become a much loved classic. This is not that film.Jackson strings out a simple, thrilling story to nearly 3 hours. It suffers in the process, with far too many "look how clever I am" CGI effects and not nearly enough tight editing to remove the rubbish and focus the story and characters.
