Cleveronix A different way of telling a story
Ketrivie It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.
Faisal Sadaqat A movie of two neighborly countries...2 soldiers....enemies? friends? watch the movie to know what really happened...I liked the plot of the movie.Short thriller movie!Who is right?Who is wrong?Wrong place at the wrong time?Or right place at the right time?Watch the movie to find out!A MUST WATCH!!
ritabratamukherjee-87582 Story, screenplay, direction, acting, cinematography all excellent. Have not seen such a beautiful movie in quite a long time.I was not aware of the directing capabilities of vijay raj. He is known for his superb acting. But through this movie we got to see another side of him. I could not believe that this is the only movie directed by him. So brilliantly done.Manu rishi has also played his character excellently. The story of the movie is very sensitive, it portrays very beautifully the fate of the common people at the time of war.I believe this is a must see movie for everyone.
Mayukh Datta Roy This movie depicts the war from the perspective of a common soldier, who like all of us is more concerned with family, jobs, home than overarching politics which forces them to fight and kill persons who very recently were their own kin.It is with sadness that I realize that as time passes the fact that India and Pakistan are political boundaries, a synthetic line drawn among people with shared history and culture is getting lost. We grow up with nationalistic fervor and the thoughts of rivalry and forget the shared commonalities among the people. The number of people who grew up across the border with deep friendships and relationships with people on the other side will be replaced by generations who have only known conflict and rivalry within the two countries. What an utter waste of human energies (the conflict ... not this film, the film is brilliant)
yashmishra91 Kya Dilli, Kya Lahore (Hindi): This is yet another Gentle Classic of this year after 'Aankhon Dekhi' which is actually worth your buck for a good cinematic experience which gently shows the romance between two torn nations behind its pathetic politics. The film has a great script (Aseem Arora, Pratham Jolly and Manu Rishi) which, despite having no pace or action has a great structure, crackling dialogues by Manu Rishi, good production design and sound design, brilliant music score by Sandesh Shandiliya, cinematography by Raj Chakraborty which beautifully captures the tension and humaneness and last but not the least, the compact cast (Vijay Raaz, Manu Rishi, Vishwajeet and Raj Zutshi) which is simply humane and riveting. The problem with the film is that it lacks compactness which was there in the 2002 Academy Award winning Bosnian film 'No Man's Land', whose shades can be seen in the film. Overall, debut director Vijay Raaz's direction added with Gulzar's poetry make the film worth a watch. My rating would be: 4/5
