Far from Perfect, Far from Terrible
Jonah Abbott
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

A must watch for Randeep Huda fans. Randeep's performance in Laal Rang and in Sarabjeet movie are the two remarkable feathers in his cap. Both are based on real life incidences featuring Randeep as male protagonist. The present movie impresses with its story-line as it maintains the suspense and thrill till the end. The intense acting by all characters and nice songs are bonus in the movie. The cinematography and directions are well presented. The movie has been shots in almost real locations of Karnal area, Haryana. Although the movie is based on the story with gray shade, however, overall THE STORY ENDS AT THE POSITIVE NOTE.

One of the best movies coming out of Bollywood this year, Laal Rang is a arguably not a big budget movie but with great performances is a memorable entertainer.A gripping story of tales of love, affection, friendship, betrayal in the backdrop of black market trade of human blood and finally culminating into a emotional climax. The neo noir elements are so visible and yet the comic moments are so subtly crafted, that the movie stands apart in story telling and direction. The movie excels in every department. Some really talented crew over there making the lyrics, dialog, music, editing and direction. Very realistically narrated, superb dialog (many deserve to go down as quotes) and a knockout performance by Randeep Hooda (playing Shankar). The movie presents the classic time tested topic of a generally accepted bad guy turning out to be everybody's hero with an unexpected sacrifice. This has rarely failed with the Indian viewers!

The movie was quite straight in the story line but the way it describes the incidents. It depicts the characters- Shankar, Rajesh, Poonam, Raashi and Gajraj Singh. The choice of locations did justice with the script. The movie was a low budget but the characters, songs and direction by Syed was at par with big budget movies. The film aptly describes the circumstances which were prevailing in Karnal at that time. Overall, it was successful attempt by Syed and the protagonist (Randeep Hooda) reflected the true character of Haryanvi lad. Rajneish Duggal at the same time provided the glimpse of an honest cop who was hell bent to unearth the syndicate and punish the culprits.

Great movie.. really nice story and amazing dialogues.. Movie is simple and realistic and yet amazing with amazing performances by all the actors. I think its a must watch.. Performance by Randeep Hooda is outstanding and amazing. To be honest I did not had much expectations from movie but the movie turned out to be really amazing. The movie is based on the blood racket in Haryana in 2002. Performances by other actors are also great. The movie is about how u get greedy and make mistakes to earn quick money and then end up in big troubles. The movie also shows the great time of yamaha rx100 you know what I mean, that bike was really popular at that time.
