Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

This movie turn out to be totally different movie and reminds me of butterfly effect and inception. Till climax i didn't realize which one is the real life is it movie star or theater helper boy...here the movie real hero is director..his movie making goes beyond imagination where a man was drugged which would lead him a different life in his dreams. It kept me in edge of the seat... The way movie was directed is entirely different with good background music. The songs tinbeda kammi and ede holgaina tamate..are really good... i was really enjoyed watching a different kind of movie after long time. Kudos to director to come up with such a master piece in this genere where remakes and some masala story movies era...

Lucia is surely is one of the best movies in recent times not only in kannada but also in India. It truly deserves all the accolades and success it has got.Cannot believe movie was made at a cost of 50lakh rupees. It has come out amazingly well and colourful.Pawan deserves lot of credit for bringing out the kickass awesome script which is not less than any Hollywood movie. The performances by all the artists is brilliant.Even the songs have come out beautiful and apt for the movie. The BGM is awesome through movie especially at the climax it hits u hard. This Shows how good the team work considering the money constraints they had.Hats off to Pavan kumar and team for bringing out a masterpiece movie. Not to miss the making of this movie on youtube. Its very interesting and ideas they have used while making this low cost rich movie is amazing.Looking forward to ur next movie C10H14N2.

I was checking that IMDb score and though. Did I miss something last year? Nope. I am not even sure why it is tagged sci-fi. I found it slow and got bored after a while, just waiting for the story to unfold, with little surprises, and no real twist. The viewer can probably go to the loo without missing much of the story. Although there is potential for reality/dream scenarios, this movie hardly exploits it. I was intrigued when a second user was introduced to the screen, hoping for the story to develop in complexity, only to go back to the romance storyline after a second. Maybe a missed opportunity. In fact the budget is probably the most impressive aspect of this movie, and it shows that one doesn't need multi-million budget to get good quality images on screen. But like most Indian movies, it seems that the director can't get away from Bollywood love stereotypes stories, as if stuck in time. Don't get me wrong, the film was reasonably pleasant to watch with typical Indian humour all the way through, but if the director wants to explore some new genre, he is going to need to make a bigger effort in his writing to satisfy the effervescence of the human mind. What the production did get right, was managing a score of 8.5, but we all know India can make miracles when it comes to the internet. ;)

The sort of innovation seen in Lucia has been missing from American cinema for many years. In fact, I have seen no more than five films ever, that can be compared to Lucia's fast pace and edgy feeling. When I watched this, it did not take long for it to be clear that what I was watching was different from almost everything that I had seen previously. It reminded me of films like Fight Club, Oldboy, and Night of the Hunter in that all of these films are strikingly different from everything else. In this way Lucia is truly refreshing, but it is far more than that. It is impossible to watch Lucia without being impressed by its plot which can really only be described as awesome. The story is complex but never difficult to follow and the characters always come first. Lucia is easy to relate to even across countries and languages because it examines common themes of love and life, and easy to be impressed by because it takes on these ideas in an altogether new fashion.
