Clever, believable, and super fun to watch. It totally has replay value.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.

Mad Max : Beyond Thunderdome3 And A Half Out Of 5Mad Max : Beyond Thunderdome is the final chapter to the beloved character Max that is more than just an epilogue as the character still has potential to and does evolve. The feature takes its time and chews off its characters allowing the audience to sink into it and the makers being aware of the persona of the character and its fame that can easily hold the audience for it. The primary reason why it is more questionable among the fans, would be his character driven approach towards the plot, that maybe slow, but is surely effective. The script is neat and clean and figures its way out as always on delivering the perfect balance of art and commercial aspect of the cinema. The George Miller part of the feature can be clearly seen as it is mild and focused more on the emotional part of it, which is written and executed aptly for the character that has suffered to this extent. The performance has improved a lot and is something the makers can rely upon completely as Gibson is in his A game and carries it off all on his shoulder. The scrutiny in here is simple and sensible with an impactful emotional touch as a goodbye for the character; a perfect end to a trilogy. Mad Max : Beyond Thunderdome weaves in for a better closure and achieves something more colossal from its poetic theme.

Up until Max gets sent off to the desert to the weird clan of children, this movie is pretty good. Dumb, but coherent and entertaining. After that, this movie devolves into such bizarre nonsense that it would be worth watching for the sheer shock factor if it wasn't also really really boring. If you really want to watch this movie, shut it off after Max leaves the Thunderdome, unless you want to be really, really confused.

Growing up in the 70's gave me great films.Star Wars, Jaws etc...
Mad Max as a kid scared me to death the whole apocalypse scenario.
Mad Max was and still is a classic even given the re-dub and low budget, for me Road Warrior is THE Mad Max but Mad Max 3 is a great sequel to the trilogy.
Tina Turner is superb I just fear the concept is similar to Mad Max 2 but on rails but is action packed its got Mel Gibson as Max who tbf IS Max.
Not as good as MadMax2 or even MadMax1 but it compliments.

After all of his supplies are stolen "Mad Max" (Mel Gibson) walks to a small city in the middle of the desert known as "Bartertown" to try to retrieve what was taken from him. However, in order to get his supplies back he has to make a deal with the ruler of Bartertown known as "Aunty Entity" and she wants her main competitor killed. Now rather than reveal any more of this movie and risk spoiling it for those who haven't seen it I will just say that this film started out great. Unfortunately, when the focus shifted from inside Bordertown to the desert, things began to deteriorate. Essentially, what started as a good post-apocalyptic action movie switched to a fantasy presumably made for a younger audience. At least that is my impression and I blame the directors (George Miller and George Ogilvie) for getting a bit too cute and trying to appease a more general audience and thereby forsaking the viewers who made up their base. As a result I have to rate this film as only average.
